Thanks Lloyd, Saw him at a different place than most of the other stars...a movie theater called the TEXAS. It was big and luxurious, with refridgerated air conditioning which was a big attraction back then. Most homes here in the dry southwest had "swamp coolers" which were boxes made of sheet metal, lined with excelsior pads; dampened by a circulating water system. A large fan pulled outside air through the contraption. Worked pretty well but was not good when humidity was high.

Attending the TEXAS theater must have been a treat in itself,

with refrigerated AC and listening to performers like Red Sovine.

How did the theater peak peoples' attention after home air conditioning - the quality of the entertainers, perhaps??

I have a new deviceon me that I can push to get immediate ambulance service if I fall and break other bones or have a seizure.

Somewhat comforting, especially for Hilary whoalways worried about me falling.
