One of those musicals that was important but wasn't a huge important because it wan't flashy like other kinds of musicals. it was a historical musicals.

Oh how I enjoyed this show, particularly The Best In the World. Lopez made me cry. And David Garrison looks SO young!

Once again, many thanks for digitizing and posting another nearly-lost gem of musical theatre. I wonder if the Theatre Wing or the League is working with the NYPL Rose Collection to digitize the Tony broadcast archives? Musical numbers make ideal YouTube content as they rarely exceed 10 minutes...

I loved the show and I loved that number. I use it in my English classes when I discuss film censorship.
