  • Beautiful music and lovely images. I'd have used simpler transitions between slides as some inject a kind of modernist feel not quite in synch with the sound or visuals. But, I guess tastes differ and it;s a nice job no matter.

  • @piehole23 TY! I agree, the simpler the better.

  • This is beautiful ... have added the link to my facebook group for the English Countryside! Thanks

  • @shortandstylish I thank you! Happy to know.

  • "The Captain's Apprentice" is in there

  • Love this piece of music. I also really like his 3rd symphony - I've set some of my paintings to one of the movements (video response above left). The paintings are not quite in the same league as those above...

  • @cobbybrook As for me, I find your paintings exciting.

  • @amlirco Hey thanks! :-)

  • This is wonderful. My hair on the back of the neck is still standing on end!

  • Just perfect. VW's music never ceases to amaze me. Just when you think you've heard it all, I find this piece. His talent for putting the listener into the location is unsurpassed.

Thanks for putting this up on the tube.

  • @TK42138, very good; you've grasped the point of this work. It is the location, a rural farm setting, at least the opening and closing sections. The work is very evocative in that sense. However, I recommend listening to the Boult recording, also on YouTube, which I feel is a much better performance. This one seems rather rough by comparison.

  • @alger3041

Thanks, I'll have a look for Boult's interpretation.

  • Wonderful combination of sights and sounds. Tks.
