This game had a good plot because as you go further in the plot the game it draws your soul in and every emotion you feel in At the end no matter who you are you are crying. Not because it is done but sometimes stories have very sad endings and you don't end it how you want them to.But This is one of those games that really connects with your soul and makes you feel that they are your family and if your actually losing that person

There are some things in the game that fans of the original will recognize, but the story is a prequel, so no knowledge of the original is required. If you're really worried, the original is up on PSN for only 15 bucks : )

There isnt much of a Final Fantasy storyline, most of the games aren't sequels to any other game, but it wouldn't hurt to learn a bit about Final Fantasy gameplay before buying.

This is a prequel to Final Fantasy 7 which came out in 1997 for the PS1.

This was my first game for PlayStation too!

A FF7 movie came out last year on DVD and UMD called "Advent Children" which is a sequel to FF7(Try and keep up)

research on square enix's top secret release, if you dig deep enough you'll find out that Final Fantasy VII, even with all the denial from SE, will be re-released in PS3 format on its 17th Birthday. The tech demo from IGN was basically to gather info whether people would buy it, and to get the hype to an untamed high. More info as i get it. Stay tuned

Because 7 was the most popular FF. Its what made FF popular in America and other countries besides Japan. Its not my favorite FF(I actually think FF 6 is much better =/), but it was widely accepted and thats why FF7 has so many spin-offs.

Oh, and the song is "Final Fantasy VII Opening" I think. Its the very first song that plays when you start the game(and the logo pops up).

JustinTheChallenger: Eeach number, like VII or III, designates a different timeline/universe rather than another chapter. None of the games have anything to do with each other, exept for those that have the same number on the Final Fantasy title such as FFVII and the movie FFVII: Advent Children. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is the prequel to FFVII. You'll at least want to read up on FFVII, and watch some vids from it here on youtube, and watch Advent Children, the sequel.

I can't believe this game is only for PSP. It would make much better sales if it were on a normal system like the PS2. But then again the real fans now have to buy a PSP and the game, creating a larger profit for Sony. Not me though. I'm a great fan and all but it's not worth buying an expensive PSP for the sake of playing one game.

lol, you do realize that none of the final fantasy #'s are really related to each other, except 10 and 10-2. But FFVII was arguably the greatest final fantasy ever made, so thats why they've gone on to make other games about it, and a movie also.
