1966 Notre Dame vs. Michigan State - Clip #6

For a team of over 40 years ago, Michigan State's defensive line was RALLY GOOD! However, there offense was pedestrian. I would have been 7 when this game was played but didn't start following college football until late in the 1970 season. That was the season when Notre Dame upset undefeated Texas in the Cotton Bowl; Stanford over undefeated Michigan in the Rose Bowl. This paved the way for undefeated & once tied Nebraska to win it all in the Orange Bowl: Neb 17 - LSU 12. I saw that match.

I was watching the game on ABC that afternoon. It was called the 'Game of the Century'. Oh man -- the intensity was just awesome!

And, being the old timer that I am, I loved the clip at .50 where we see the cute cheerleaders in their old fashioned uniforms. How charming!
