Love your style.. and if we are to start planting permaculture food forests to feed the future, the nut tree is the absolute first thing we have to get going as they take time to grow. Imagine this with a layer of fruit trees below, then something that can be cut for mulch as well as herbs, and creepers and vined fruit all in a small space making a delicous perennial food forest!

As for watering this is the advantage of using grow bags because the plastic mulches them and the water in them lasts a long time without evaporating, long enough for the next spot of rainy weather to soak them again. Theres only any need to water them with a pipe through a hole you pierce, if theres a drought for a month say.
