I don't think he's being quite truthful because he should know that running as a third party you would not get enough votes. The media and the debate system is so slanted that a third party is at too big of a disadvantage.

On the other hand. Ron Paul is the only candidate who wants to preserve civil liberty and return to a constitutionally responsible monetary system that isn't based on a debt driven fiat currency that's printed by the federal reserve... Which is an entity that is outside of US law or prosecution.
