A Savannah School tries to Stop a gun range? Is zoning unconsitutional?

One or two cases I have heard of few people taking local government to federal court under eminent domain taking because of zoning. Zoning is a funny thing any time some government changed the zoning the owner can claim reduced value and maybe able file a claim against the government for taking Eminent domain.

i was a range master for 3 year at a local gun range and when we wanted to start a second range intown the city turned us down, we had all the funds to convert the building, and was even going to contract with local pd and sheriffs department and atf to come over and use the facilities the city still said no, that was bs, we fought for 2 years on this and still to this day we fight but we keep getting the same answer

Universities have become liberal brainwashing centers, as opposed to places where open and critical thought on all sides of every issue are encouraged. I am sure this university teaches many things some would rather not hear, but they are protected by the 1st , so why would they infringe on the 2nd?  Zoning that makes sense is for outdoor use of guns. It is illegal in my area to discharge a firearm within 500 ft. of a residence, but indoor ranges are safe and pose only a theological threat.

I don't think strict zoning would stop a gun toting mad man. If someone wants to do something like that, I do think they would be willing enough to travel across town in order to obtain a firearm.

I always found it odd that in protection of the first amendment newspapers are not subject to sales tax. Wouldn't it follow that in protection of the second amendment guns and ammo would also be free of tax?

One point brought up in this video is that people are okay with police officers open carrying yet feel threatened if the see another citizen open carrying.

Are these people complaining about the local walmart that sells firearms as well?

The people that utilize the gun range are law abiding people who are exercising their rights.

Also point of note, areas of the country that have more firearms in the hands of law abiding people and lenient gun control have much lower crime rates than those with strict gun control.

The bad thing is that most comon people see guns as bad and only the police should carry them. We can all thank our anti-gun groups for that. Look at the crime rate for New York, DC, New Jersey, .... I open carry and get mistaken for an undercover cop all the time. I have to tell them NO, just a citizen like you.

I believe that the early 14th amendment citizens were the first to have gun permits, you dont want a group that was just given freedom to carry guns around... 14th amendment citizens were the first group to be required to have permits, licenses, and birth certificates... 14th amendment citizen or American National... discover the difference! YES zoning is infringement!
