You know, I've followed this video on and off since you put it up...=] I've always adored how you played this piece, and I've finally got a pretty good grip on it myself. I've got a question, though. The second part of the chorus (main theme, or whatever), it seems you diverge from the sheet music (hopefully I'm using the same one...Andy Nguyen's?). I like the way you do it, and I'm not to fond of learning the intense part after that...mind telling me how you did it? Thanks. =]

yup, Tales of Phantasia was the original game of the series, for the SNES. ToS used the Fighting of the Spirit theme from ToP.

It's not. Tales of Symphonia also has the song Fighting of the Spirit; however, it sounds pretty much like the one in Phantasia. Fatalize is completely different. =]

I was originally going to play it, but when I heard what in sounded like (from listening to it in Finale), it really didn't sound like the original piece, and was very...messy sounding. So, with that and the fact that I didn't want to take the time to practice that part xD, I decided not to include it xD

Whenever I want music sheets, I just download the midi version of the song and open it in Anvil Studio. It gives music sheets for every instrument on the track, so you could (in theory) play the entire song with an instrumental band.

I guess it would be cool, but Piano + Electric Guitar usually ends up in disaster.

An electric keyboard might work, but otherwise an acoustic guitar works much better with an actual piano.

Ooo...I was thinking about that, except playing a duet with my brother(s). One plays electric guitar and the other plays violin. My brother that plays electric guitar is insane...he practiced like 5 hours a day...and in less than 2 years is now at least as good as risingforce (and rising force is quite awesome :D)

Yeah it does sound kind of strange, but don't worry about deviating from the original song man, that's every single one of my videos, lol.

My only suggestion would be to have a more syncopated left hand at 0.28 to emphasize that badass half-time feel.
