  • You KNOW this was a MUST-SEE while I lived in NY! These guys are freakin' maCHINES! They're like gazelles in taps! I LOVE THEM - and was on my seat the whole time!!!! They are SO talented and such fierce athletes!!!! YES!

  • sometimes i wonder if his legs are part of his body they seem to be their own body and mind

  • thumbs up if you're here cuz this scares the bejesus out of Chandler from "Friends"

  • What is that type of music call?

  • @ajpacman riverdance

  • @ajpacman It is Celtic..not riverdance..River Dance was the name of another show.

  • Magic, Pure Magic

  • F. Excelente

  • واو ممتاز

  • this is pretty cool

  • And they say white boys can't dance :)

  • he really is a gigantic penis though isnt he...

  • super

  • I remember dancing to this in my purple tutu in my living room when I was about 3 years old.Love Michael Flately <3

  • Why do people only talk about the moves of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley who have passed away when we still have all of these which are still alive today?

  • micheal flatly got kicked off of riverdance for wanting more money. douche? i say yes! cheater? most definately, he wears taps not fiberglass. good showman? i think the rest of his troupe does a better job than he himself does. good video? oh absolutely

  • @Seofangurl i forgot to add

"sincerely, a former irish step dancer"

  • @Seofangurl How the hell did you get the idea that he wanted more money? Please, explain. Cause I'm dying to know. -Has seen the Gold DVD by MF- And he explains what happened between him and the rest of Riverdance.

  • i was so inspired by this video that i tried to tap dance, on hospital trip later, 2 broken ankles

  • come dancing

  • when look over this again think Michael Flatley in same league as Micheal Jackson where dancing concerned...rosemary

  • I love this performance of Flatley because I see this as a rebeleous and even patriotic dance, full of discipline, most apriciated by those who are in need of a good leadermanship for the most vonorable people, as to give them a ritme and the right to survive !

  • take this, bitch. I love how they dancing. It's only brilliant. It's the happynes in a dance.

  • For those of you getting lost in the superficial facade of what ethnicity Michael Flatley is, wondering whether he's Irish or American, my answer is............ He's a human being, first of all, and THEN he is Irish, American, & whatever other lines of descent his family holds.

& he's a human being with great passion for what he does. Let us pat him on the back for it, not back-hand him on the face for it :o)

  • the british ilse has had the most beutifull culture of all time even the british invasion of america that taught us yanks how to play hard rock

  • Have to say, the camera work on this dvd is terrible.

  • @naraicks

    its 1996 with low budget

    can't expect for much better

  • @Ben8199 i was thinking more of the direction.

  • @naraicks Alot of camera work back in the 90's was bad.

  • @rebelgabriel4308 low budget

  • I used to tap dance then I took an arrow to the knee

  • So much winning !!

  • i went to see this on friday :P it was a xmas prezzies off my sister :P i did irish dance when i was younger and also tap dance :P....i still do tap dance now 13 years on, i just wish i kept the irish dance up but sadly the school i went to closed down and there are no decent irish dance school around where i live :(

  • Holy sh*t, this is so beautiful!!!!!

  • amaizing song and dancers

  • SSSSHHH , GOD IS TALKING.

  • "Light in the loafers" is an understatement!

  • That bright light at the end of a tunnel is..... Michael Flatly

  • He gets too much ass.

  • absolutely amazing performance!

  • What a legend!

  • As I understand it, it's like "clogging" that is done in the south.

Did you know that there is a hymn called Lord of the Dance?

  • @lajmh For I am the lord of the Dance said he and I'll lead you all wherever you may be and I'll lead you'll all in the dance said he!

  • @lajmh Irish step dancing existed long before clogging. Appalachian and/or Southern clogging is a remnant of memory from Ireland/Scotland. I know that the Dutch do some sort of clogging in their wooden shoes too, so there may have been some influence from the early Dutch settlers in New York (New Amsterdam). Tap Dancing was derived from Irish Step Dancing too.

  • Have you ever listened to something so beautiful that it made your brain tingle? Listening and watching Lord Of The Dance makes me feel that way :D

  • OMG I loved this performance when i was a child :D

  • 3:51 - 3:57 Love it! haha

  • I would be headbanging so hard! major props to the Irish!

  • he could very well be more epic then epic sax guy this guy is epic tap dance guy lol

  • @Mahthan this isn't tap dancing. this is Irish jig. a completely different thing.

  • At the end of this video I was crying............because I forgot to blink.

  • So good! I remember watching this as a child at my Great-Grandmother's house.

  • am i the only one that sees this as just running around and jumping?

  • That flatley fag aint even IRISH he is a scammer and fake

  • @thescum666

    You're wrong..he is Irish..

you know..the Irish have other talents besides drinkin'..which I have to say, Im pretty good at! He might seem "gay" to you with his dancin and all..but it goes waaay back..just ask your gram..if she's Irish n all :) Might be just a secret

  • @YummyFreelunch watch his old pbs special from boston he has no accent then, before he was famous with the step dance, he wasn't even born in Ireland like I was he was born in iowa or some place like that

  • @thescum666 So you have to be born in Ireland to be Irish?!? I guess that means Millions of others whose family came from Ireland are not who they think they are.......nice. I love it when people defend their ignorance.

  • @rebelgabriel4308 no I wasn't saying that at all. I am driving home the point this phony is not of any Irish decent at all. and if you care to learn a bit of history people born in America with an Irish heritage are known as "black" Irish for the fact they are not a direct link to the country.... Plus arguing with any moron is like stating your the least retarded at a special Olympics meet.

  • @thescum666 that is utter nonsense....black Irish refers to those born in Ireland from the basques who had darker hair. The term has nothing to do with America. His mother and grandmother came from Ireland and his grandmother was a step dancer from there.

  • @rebelgabriel4308 i'll thumbs up for "i love it when people defend their ignorance"only

  • @rebelgabriel4308 That's the way irish half breeds are seen. They're almost treated like samaritans undirectly.

  • I really want to see Michael Flatley, Fred Astaire, and Gene Kelly do a dance together..

  • Being a former Irish Dancer, I still think Riverdance was the best. Good Luck Mike, get ready for St. Patricks Day.

    Ave Maria +++

  • Superb. Many thanks :-)

    and as always, God bless

  • micheal flatley was born in usa hes parents are from irland

  • Zakurwił w tany !

  • Those Irish beauties at the beginning had me mesmerized...*sigh* why could I not have been born in Ireland.

  • His legs flail about as if independent from his body!!!

  • 4:12 reverse moonwalk ftw!

  • Flatley is technically the best dancer ever even micheal jackson said so... thats saying something

  • Yes, I admit it, Chandler brought me here......

  • @EDog40 me2

  • @EDog40 Me too ><

  • Haters gon hate walk 4:13

  • This scares the BeJesus out of me

  • @Slop4444 in a sexy way though i'm sure ;)

  • DIDDLE-LEE-DEE POTATOES!!!

  • i love irish

  • I did a report on this show when I was in highschool and I still love watching this every time and now the gal that played the violin for this show when I first saw it in 1996 now plays with Celtic women. I found out that this Dance really is more than a dance. they used this dance in ancient Ireland as a way to tell their clansmen when an enemy was coming, their enemies thought WOOHOO entertainment! but it was more like morse code saying hey we're under attack! amazing stuff.

Let us be filled with blarney and let the Saint of the step take us on an adventure of dance and fun and joyous laughter!!!!

  • JUSTICE FOR PAT FINUCANE

  • @JiggyPiggy100 When it comes to Flately, forget Chuck Norris.

  • THIS KIND OF TALENT IS TRULY A BLESSING! MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL THESE SPECTACULAR PEOPLE FOR SHARING THE MIRACLE OF DANCE AND MUSIC!

  • THIS IS INCREDIBLE! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS EXTRAORDINARY TALENT!

  • 149 broke leg from tapping

  • Thumbs up if you ever watched "LORD OF THE DANCE" while drinking. It makes you wanna get up and dance yourself.

  • the best dancers ever

  • Damn that man is sexy

  • i saw this live :)

  • @loeghat I like it, especially their rendition of drowsy Maggie. But what I do dislike is that Flatley is a narcissistic arrogant little prick with an over inflated ego. Kind of drowns the talent he has. Now Jean Butler I can get behind. She has talent and grace and humility.

  • I came here because of Chandler

  • chuck norris is justin bieber compared to michael flatley

  • @JiggyPiggy100 No..... noooo.... NNOOOOooooooo. Michael Flatley is Chuck re-incarnated as a bundle of sticks.

  • @mrmagicroundcircle

Hmmm.... your wrong. You've clearly had a very sheltered life as in fact my statement was a pop culture reference to Alan partridge, not an insult to the masculine adonis that is Michelle Flatley, sorry michael.

  • Comment removed

  • @mrmagicroundcircle

Shove your apology up your arse and go to hell. just a little bible reference for you; Linda 10: 1-10

  • @Tankeey stuff your sausages up your arse you fat cunt . just a little message for you

  • @mrmagicroundcircle A) I dont own sausages as I lead an extremely healthy lifestyle; B) Dont ever give me little messages again or i'll hook up with your sister and make her think i love her, then break up with her at a large social event such as a family xmas dinner or a local golf competition (i may even desert her whilst were on a hiking trek with close friends in the peak district); C) Stop sending me pictures of you with a cupcake taped to your penis

  • I would mosh to this... :P

  • His legs really do flail about as if independent from his body...

  • @Drewski0411 Let's face it...you know nothing about either LOTD or Riverdance.

  • this is a fuckface but good dancer]

  • I love Irish dancing but does that guy really....REALLY...have to be such a flamin' queer?? Makes us look bad.........

  • @KatherineMcGoddamn Are you referring to Michael Flatley as a 'flamin queer'??! Are you for real? You are very badly mistaken in your assumptions. Makes YOU look bad.

  • @eireseeker

Yes...I am calling him a "flamin' queer"...it was already up there...don't see where I need to clarify...and if it makes me look bad, so be it...at least I'm not on a stage acting like I won the 9 years war alone. He's a cocksucker I guess is what I'm meaning to say...big-headed fuck ass!!
