  • @djsreview Thanks. I try to relay my memories more so than "gameplay" with the pinball vids Ha ha. Thanks for watching!

  • Got the dvd today thanx chris

  • @quotetoe Wohoo!! Hope you enjoy it and thanks!!

  • sometimes i go to a arcade up in new hampshire called "the pinball wizard arcade". They still have old pinball machines including taxi

  • @gohan4916 Thanks for watching!

  • what a autograph that is not pat lawler's i usely see his

  • @TheCrulZ2348 If he had anything to do with the game, it would be on this one too! :)

  • i love to smoke weed n play this table ,pinball is better like every video game

  • @XRATED1984 Ha ha. Well, there ya' go! Thanks for watching!

  • Hey Chris, what was the bowling alley you played this at not far from Putt-Putt?

  • @srarcade It was called Eastway Lanes (is still there). ;0

  • this is one of my favorite tables of all time, i was kind of depressed they didn't have one at the national pinball museum here in DC. thanks for the great video.

  • @raindog151 Thanks my friend!!

  • Hi thinking of buying this pinny, however the 3 top bumpers dont work are they easy and cheap to fix????????

  • @jasejaw Depends. Have you ever worked on pins before? If not, I would say "no" and "yes" (unless it is related to the board inside the head). :)

  • if taxi is the last game you would sell, than what would be the first game to go?

  • @theRVGN Ha ha. IF I had to sell something and didn't need much money, probably Johnny Mnemonic. But, I love the game.

  • @spida1a I figured it would be that one.

  • @nlafavore All depends on why I need to sell. If I'm in trouble and need a lot of money fast, bye bye Big Bang Bar.

  • i love your videos and i watch them literally constantly! im not good at reading the rulesheets they always confuse me but you break it down perfectly! btw would you be able to make a video on general pinball tips and tricks? ive seen some people do some crazy shots before and im guessing most people have a general strategy for pinball...all i go for usually is multiball lol thats what i was addicted to doing when i was a kid and its always been my fave thing to do

  • @darkinertia2 Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment. I'm glad you enjoy them. I have more planned.....thanks!

  • I hope by next year that 27,000 turns into 27,001 :)

  • Nice review wish I had a Adams family

  • @samo0701 Thanks my friend. I hear you.....I can't believe how that game has retained its value all these years (especially with SO many of them in production). Ha ha. :)

  • Taxi is a pinball machine I want home! ;)

  • @DJvonGoudufill94 Very cool. Love the game. Thanks for watching!

  • I have a Taxi with a Marilyn playfield! I just spent the past week rebuiding the flippers and finishing up my LED mod. I wish my playfield looked as nice as yours, though.... The paint below my Marilyn drop targets is pretty worn. Same with the Drac shot. I'm currently putting money aside for when CPR releases their repro Taxi playfields.

  • @Diskoboy1974 Thanks for sharing and watching!! :)

  • Ahhhh, the Taxi game at the bowling alley, man, sure need to get a Taxi. HEY!! We had the same response every ttime we picked up Gorby as well.......... HEY!! Shooting pot games and playing Taxi and Fish Tales at the same time until 4 in the morning. HEY!! Give it to me, RIDE!!

  • @Spuweee Hey, thanks for sharing! :)

  • I picked up an xbox360 game today for 19.00 called Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Edition... it has around 13 Williams tables you can play... One of which is Taxi. Now, playing on a real machine is absolutely unbeatable... but this game comes about as close as you can get... check it out, you really cant beat it for the price. It also has Funhouse, Whirlwind, Black Knight, Pin-bot, bunch of others.

  • @taternuggets1 I actually found that the Williams Pinball Hall of Fame did a pretty good job keeping the physics of the original game. Obviously, it is still WAY off in some ways (and could never replicate the way they actually feel). They definitely surprised me...especially for the price. I totally agree, snag it! :)

    Thanks for watching.

  • Ah, Taxi... I had my own machine and lost it in a divorce. I sure miss it. Thanks for making the video.

  • I also think taxi is a very cool fun game . Lots of people seem to have a hate streak for it in australia . Great reviews thanx for sharing your machines and great reviews

  • It's too bad the original got deleted with our old comments, though.

  • Cool, hope to see them soon. Thanks for the reply. I know you did the review of BBB and Family guy, Is there any chance you will do a "My gameroom" segment on either. Or was that about everything you really had to say about them? Thanks again, keep up the great work!

  • @drunkeykong12 I am going to mention them briefly in the final segment, but I won't be doing too much detail (that's why I tried to re-upload them in, at least, slightly better quality). You know? Ha ha.

    Tanks.

  • Great video's , Taxi is my most nostalgic Pin too. I'm glad to finally have picked one up last year. Just got a JM last month and a NBA fastbreak a few days ago.

Can't wait to see the next video's How many left?

  • @drunkeykong12 Well, there's 3 more pinball videos, 2 of which you saw in the preview for 2010, Getaway and Whitewater, and there's also Funhouse.

  • im from finland and i like to hawe my own pingball. what is best first pinball machine???

  • @black44a The only thing I can say is try to find games to play and decide for yourself my friend. I really can't answer that one for ya'. :) :)

  • @spida1a Well, you did recommend not getting Safe Cracker early on.

  • they should've just left the girl looking like Monroe, and called her something else. What the fuck would she do about it?

  • @bosnia91 Who knows. Ha ha. I'm sure the Monroe estate has more money than Williams Electronics maybe. Ha ha.

    Thanks for watching! :) :)

  • Great stuff as always Chris. You always have the best pinball video reviews.

  • @PressStartComic Thanks my friend, as always! :)

  • now Pin-Bot sees Taxi....

  • @newkillergenius Ha ha. I love his quotes. "Pinbot...stranded!" :)

  • @spida1a

Speaking of- we've had our Pin*Bot for a while now- and the other night while a buddy was playing it he tilted- and it said the tilt message "I Tilt, you lose".... freaked us out- we had never heard him say it before...guess every day is a school day huh?

  • @newkillergenius Wow. I have never heard that particular Tilt quote before. I've only heard "Tilt...all data lost! Tilt...all data lost!" Which ROM revision are you using? Just curious ;)

  • @spida1a

you know, I will have to look. This machine came from a collector and he had definitely made several revisions. I can look and see or send you a few pics to an email if that would work- just PM me. The machine in question is shown playing in my videos.

    Great vids, keep em coming...

  • @spida1a

Hey Chris, you were right- he says 'Tilt- all data lost'. Happened last night at about 5,400,000. *sigh*

  • See that Terminator 3 pinball machine is Skynet.

  • @mp4podcastDOTcom Guess I better start playing some games before the world ends, eh? Ha ha.

  • W-What? I was wondering what happened to the original upload. This is probably my favorite of your pinball vids, probably because we see a great deal of your nostalgia about this game along with the footage of you with the actual game in the 90s. BTW, how did you get Mark Ritchie's autograph on your cabinet?

  • @naikanomtom Yeah, some people said they were having trouble viewing it. And...I think I might have accidentally deleted it in the confusion so. Oops. :)

A friend of mine went to MR's house for an interview and they got autographs for me. :) ):

  • Dude, these videos are great. :)

  • @BarbieOnWeed Thanks a lot!

  • Can't wait until part 13. Keep up the entertaining videos.

  • @controlcommerce I hope to have it finished in the next couple of days. Thanks for watching!

  • @spida1a You're makin' progress now!

  • Is this a re-upload? :o WHat happened?

  • @TrueSoreThumb Lol! I have an annotation up about it at the beginning. :)

  • I have to say man, watching your pinball reviews is a treat. I recently was at a garage sale, and this old couple brought me into their home and let me play their original Funhouse pinball machine. that experience coupled with the enthusiasm you show in these videos has inspired me to pick up a machine for my personal arcade. any tips on some good machines for a beginning collector? A good all around machine that isn't too insane on the wallet?

  • @silkvein Hey, that's great. I'm glad you enjoy them.

Ugh....I'm sorry but....I can't really give you any advice on what game to get. You need to get one that you enjoy (there are WAY too many out there). You know? I would scour the Mr. Pinball Classifieds and the Internet Pinball Database and maybe use both to research prices and machines. :)

Sorry I couldn't be more help. But, thanks a ton for watching!

  • @spida1a No problem man! I actually prefer the "hunt" in the end. Been checkin' out the Mr. Pinball site as well, and it is a gem for sure! I'm torn right now between a Funhouse, an Earthshaker, or a Rollercoaster. I think I'll just wait to see what pops up on Mr. Pinball and let fate make my decision. Mad props though man. One of these days I'll have to man up and get my RetroRoadshow channel running so I can join you cats in all this fun.

  • Hello, spider1a? is taxi ready? haha...awesome detailed review on it, well done. I'm not a big pinball fan but you make it interesting..never knew there was soo much going on behind pinball machines. The only one I have in my memory, was the one in rocky 3 where the drunken Pauly breaks with the booze bottle lol..oh and a street fighter one...I'm gonna look up more on pinball machines..lookin forward of seeing the next one.

  • @simplyvk Hey, thanks my friend. Good stuff!

Ha! I just watched Rocky 3 ironically. Love Paulie! :)

    Take care.

  • man i can't wait to hear you story regarding "The Getaway" Pinball machine, that is one of my favorites!

  • @shadowflame1976 It is the next...."next" vid pinball-wise. Should be up in a month or so (next one is Diner coming this week). :)

  • Man. Pinball. something I played but never could spend a lot of time since Arizona barely has some arcades here. Awesome work Chris

  • @Quakeman224 I hear you. There definitely isn't much of it anymore. Different world...ya' know? :)

    Thanks!

  • @spida1a Yea. I mean Ive played actually pinball games, mostly Pirates of the Carribean one at the movie theaters. But most of the pinball games I played was Windows version and Pinball FX on XBLA. I need to play real pinball more.

  • You have a lot of pinball games lol.

  • @TheLoadingScreenz I know it....ha ha.

  • dude do a donkey kong review

  • @dde12321 I will definitely mention DK in the final "misc." segment. I was proud to restore that one up. The first and only (so far) arcade I ever built up. Ha ha. ;)

  • i remember playing taxi when I was in college... it was definitely one of the fun table... although i've never gotten the jackpot.

  • @up0 Thanks for watching!

  • I'm not even a pinball fan, and I still find your videos absolutely captivating due in equal parts to your obvious passion for the subject and your superlative skill at video production. I've been considering starting my own game review series for a long time now, and I have to admit, it's videos like yours that may push me over the edge and convince me to actually get off my lazy butt and do it.

Keep 'em comin', man. I'm always happy to see a new video from you on my YouTube page. (:

  • @Wyrdwad Definitely do your own game series. You know? Just have fun, do your "own thing" and....hopefully people will enjoy it. I don't know how anyone can listen to me for more than second or so...so...I am honored anyone likes me at all. ha ha.

    Take care.

  • Absolutely loved this video. How you managed to think ahead and record all that older video is amazing.

  • @bend3 Ha ha. I was always carrying my camcorder around with me. So, it was more "for fun." Always making silly videos, you know? Little did I know years and years and years later I would have some nice little clips to choose from for other projects. :)

    Thanks a lot!

  • I grew up with a putt-putt golf right across the street. Good times.

  • @IrritatedGamer Ah yes....my second home. Sniff, I miss it! :) :)

  • Man, Pinball isn't just a game but more of a passion.. As a fellow gamer and enthusiast, I respect what you do..and I do love pinball myself.

  • @pookieizzy7 Thanks a lot! I appreciate it. It's a passion and a true addiction...I miss collecting and can't wait to again someday. :)
