  • Humans are the cause for the decrease in population for all animals in this world, everything was going fine till humans appeared.

  • WTF is wrong with that old women with horses, if you care for wildlife then why say we dont need wolves, saying that means you dont give a fuck about wildlife, dumbass.

  • Nonnative wolves are deciminating our elk and moose herds. It is to bad that so many people cannot see the truth about wolves. Less than 10% of the elk calves in the northern yellowstone elk herd are suviving to reach maturity. How long before there are no elk left in that area? Is having wolves worth the devistating economic impact to people? Don't think so. Jackson elk herd is still above objective? Lies.......

  • Decrease demand. The majority of wolf killers in these areas are rancher trying to protect there stock. Eat less meat = less demand.

  • SAVE THE WOLVES

  • 16 of the 36 subspecies of the grey wolf have been hunted to extinction from the late 1800's to the 1950's. Of note include the Labrador wolf [Canada], Kenai Peninsula wolf [Alaska] and Newfoundland wolf. The wolves in Europe and the Middle East have also been decimated by hunters and continue to be hunted regardless of their endangered status, Norway's extermination programs being a prime example of politics rather than scientific method.

  • The elk numbers go down, the wolf numbers go down. Then the elk numbers go up, followed by the wolf numbers. Then the elk numbers go down, and so on. That is a balance that has been going on even before humans.

  • This whole video is a lie. Stop your propaganda. Prior to the illegal introduction of the Canadian Grey wolf, there was strong opposition to their presence. There was already a stock of wolves in Minnesota that was similar in size to the wolves the Northern Rockies had. Now we have a much larger Grey wolf that is an absolute killing machine. The Grey wolf is not endangered. There are estimates between 50-70 thousand wolves in North America. Stop lying!!!

  • This is not a case about caring for all wildlife. The majority of people who live in the area are not opposed to a few wolves, but what these people want is 1000s of wolves in the area. Where did Lewis and Clark find most wolves? On the plains with the Buffalo. We did not have the game herds in the mountains that we have now, and they are there due to the fees paid by hunting. What these people want is for wolves to be the only predator of elk, and they are making a good living at it also.

  • One domestic cow killed by wolves is to many. You cannot put wolves into cattle country and expect positive results. The problem is, people need to be able to make a living raising cattle. Its one of the few things that this land can be used for by PEOPLE. People like you should not have a say on wolves, they don't affect you. 1500 is about 1000 to many.

  • Will there be any wildlife left in the park after the wolves? Appears that the elk population is falling at an alarming rate, how about the bighorn sheep population? Much less how many cattle have been lost? Put it to the people who are affected by the wolves, not by a bunch of worthless wolf advocates. How much money are these people making? What about the people who make a living from guiding and hunting?

  • why cant the people live around there see these wolves were here before them and trying put back not gonna eat all there stock there just being blind

  • its kind of wild what a hot issue this is amongst locals-- some truly hate the wolves and just want them gone. no matter what the balance is they bring to the ecosystem.

  • Yes, but personally, I think it's going to be pretty tough to say to future generations: "Oh, yes wolves were very cool and beutiful- too bad you can't see them because some morons killed them all off!" I'm very, veeeery pisssed off that I will never get to see a tasmanian tiger- because some stupid people drove them to extinction. I don't want our future generations to not be able to watch and get a thrill at watching them- just as I do today.

  • But they are not even close to extinct! Go to Alaska or Canada, hire a guide, you can see plenty of wolves.......

  • @itsyournature The ecosystem Needs wolves. No matter what they say, nature will always need them. We shouldn't be destroying them out of fear or because they're hunting they way they've been hunting for over thousands of years. Humans are finding it difficult to live with them because they don't understand them. They don't respect them. They only care about the profit thats made from they game they kill.

  • Great video. 5/5

  • Isn't the endangered species list supposed to be for animals that are about to go extinct. Why is this a political process at all. Either they are about to be extinct or not. Which is it?

  • Wolves were "extinct" or more accurately "extirpated" from the Yellowstone ecosystem in the 1940's. Only a small number of wolves were reintroduced in the mid-90's, and therefore in need of endangered species protections. After protections were removed in April, mass hunting parties were assembled in Wyoming, and wolves were being killed at one per-day until they were relisted in July. they're STILL under threat from groups who seek to push wolves into extinction in the Northern Rockies.

  • So if they are endangered, why take them off the list? This is ridiculus. It shouldn't be a political issue. I have no problem with hunting but it makes no sense to kill of an entire species. Even the hunters should agree with that. What will they hunt if they are all dead?

  • No one wants to kill off the entire species. The problem is that these people want 3000 or more wolves in the area. That basically means more than 18,000 elk will die each year, if they get there way, much less thousands of moose, domestic cattle and other animals

  • How many wolves were in the yellowstone area before the white man? Lewis and Clark stated they saw wolves on the plains (associated with Buffalo) but never mentioned them in the mountains......I guess because we (in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho) have managed elk so well that they now have a prey species to eat. Lots of wolves in Canada and Alaska. They are not going extinct!

  • What groups want to make them extinct? Not good research, bud. There is no way we could make them extinct even with a total predator classification on them. They are to smart. What they are is a treat to our livihood out here, and they need to be controlled. I am tired of all the tax payer (and hunter) moneys being spent on wolves. We don't want them, but they are here, so will will learn to live with them, but only if their population can be controlled.

  • Hal, these extremist lunatics push their lies non stop. That is why we need to expose them. The central Yellowstone elk herd is down by 73%, once their numbers were 800, now only 200 survived. Wolves will soon remove the elk from Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies.

  • Exactly, some terminology problems here. Wolves are not endangered in Alaska or Canada, so why say they are endangered? These people want wolves in everyones backyard, and, I can tell you, that is not a good thing for cattle, horses, sheep, domestic dogs and cats, and sooner or later, someones son or daughter.

  • Love the video!

  • SCOD supports nature conservation *****

  • I wish all parties the best of luck in finding a sustainable resolution to the problem.
