I think this is a Hierodula multispina. I had two of that species that looked exactly alike. From the coloration on the abdomen, the shape of the eyes, the eyespot on the wing and the shape of the pronotum. I cannot quite tell, but I think there might be white teeth on the fore-arm.

The one distinctive feature of Mantis religiosa, eye spots on the inside of the fore-arms, is missing in this mantis.

Another user said this might be S. viridis.

Whatever the case, this mantis is adorable. ^_^

@grafffan for food, Mantis Nymphs (babies) eat aphids (the little bugs you see all over plants), fruit flies, ants, pretty much any living bug smaller than it. you can also try digging up some earth worms.

I like the fact that one pseudopupil seems bigger than the other, one seems cute and innocent, the other is shrunken and merciless.

I loved her jig at the end, but I CANNOT get over how FAST these creatures can strike. Central nerve reflex velocity is incredible.
