it was taken out in the final build for Halo. If you also notice, master chief also has an antenna when he is holding the energy sword. They removed that too.

This was made from the bungie vidoc mostly, multiple segments were of warthogs and choppers zooming around so I thought I would make a connection with vehicles and highway in the lyrics, in other words, i did not know at the time the level would be called tsavo highway
