great song, such an inspiration!! I have an old version of this song from mid 90's on casette (yes casette!!) and it has an amazing meditation before the song itself if anyone knows what i mean can you tell me if it can be found anywhere on here or other websites etc??
If You would wonder about the word 'paradise' that Jesus said, it's quite other than "heaven" about what He said often too.
Paradise -it's the same word and the same place that we find in Genesis: the place where first human were created, the Garden of Eden, on the earth. Our planet was the best place for us to live... and it still is; it just need to be restored when God will intervene.
@ZooropaDweller you're right but what about Paul using the word "paradise" in referring to the friend of his that was caught up to heaven in II Corinthians 12. Rabbinical tradition held that the Abraham's bosom side of Sheol was synomous with paradise. It's possible that Christ was referring to the latter when addressing the thief on the cross. It's also possible that everyone in Abraham's bosom ressurected into heaven (other "paradise") upon Christ's death, c.f. Mt 27:52-53.
