Ok maybe I was a little harsh, dont get me wrong though I respect what yorke and radiohead achieved. I just think his vocals were better suited to OK Computer,I love his voice but it seems a little lost in this track. A little off topic but is anyone else enjoying Clubroot, just discovered that guy, amazing stuff :)
Love Burial's stuff and even some of Fourtet's but really hate this song, its bland and lacking the thick atmosphere you would expect. Yorke's vocals are completely uninspiring, same shit every time...just go with Burial's samples they create much more of an impact.
@ken0y I couldn't agree more about what you say about yorke, I wouldn't say this is bland at all, more layers and overlapping folds than an origami polygon!
@ken0y I don't think your comment on Thom's vocals are very fair, he is one of the only artists out there who has been going for absolutely years who is desperately driving the music industry in a different direction (Away from the substance-less plastic shit in the charts). I think its great how he has got into Dubstep considering he came from a time when his band were up there in the chart with the mighty Oasis. I agree about the sampling but c'mon give the man a bit of respect :)
anyone like to listen to my song!!! please tell me about it, i would just love to hear your thoughts on my music and stuff and basically just enjoy yourself! music is music! :)!! soundcloud. com/deccies/deccies-rollin thankyouu!!!! xx
This is great, but imagine this collaboration: Burial + Four Tet + Thom Yorke + Flying Lotus. The world would very likely explode from the sheer awesomeness.
I like them all seprately but I'll have to admit something from Burial's magic is lost here and Yorke's vocals sound a bit empty and mainstream. It's still a decent track compared to most of the music that's out there, but you'd expect something beyond fairly good from these three.
Thom Yorke is unbelievably incredible. Four Tet is incredible. Burial is slightly less than incredible. That is the logical succession of this song, therefore making it (3d12)+6(AWESOME!!!)
Im sad to admit this but I just don't find burials 2011 tunes to be as "deep" as his older ones. However this means that his music is still "deeper" than 99% of others...
Why are some people stating that Thom Yorke is somehow better than Burial and Four Tet because Thom has dappled in some slight vocal electronica and is also a part of a highly successful rock group?
Burial and Four Tet don't make rock music because they don't want to.
@lifeinsepia you only say taht because you are probably a fan of radiohead... i know radiohead and burial way before thom yorke's colabs with burial... probably you didnt know burial before his colab with thom and i can tell you he is legend! nobody is so much creativeas he is! best electronic producer ever
@leminhosxico nah, i like burial, definitely a fan, but trying to compare anything he has done to something like Kid A is like trying to compare Oracular Spectacular to Sgt. Peppers. It's is a great album, with some fantastic moments, but it's not gonna go down in history as an all time great.
I guess, all I'm trying to say is, there's a reason Thom's still producing 18 years on, and it's not cus he's still learning. Listen to The Eraser and tell me he's not a master of electronica.
@lifeinsepia thom is defenetly a great electronic producer, no doubt! much more influent than burial... but maybe burial does much more introspective music than radiohead! also, burial does not use the internet to promote himself, he will be forever underated... probably it's a good thing
@BukkakeNation Look it up, it appears Thom was an admirer of Aphex in Radiohead's more grungy days, but Aphex Twin didn't feel the same way about Radiohead, etc, etc...
But let's get it straight that I'm a fan of both groups, no hate intended and this song is great!
@TimeForBold well then honestly it's his loss, radiohead had a few rough patches but altogether
are to me, one of most influential groups of all times. though like you said im a fan of both and i have a couple of amazing aphex albums...maybe they will end up doing something afterall : )
@quaffed156156 What an intelligent remark, obviously a die hard radiohead fan that will swallow anything they release and isn't open to any other musician....
@public1234567891 Thom cited them as a very big influence and said that he'd love to work with him (he might have even said they were going to but I forget) but Richard just kinda said that he hated their music.
@skvan haha, I love that quote. It's like he's a lotus, even if people drop shit on him, he will stay the same beautiful flower. I tried to make I video for this masterpiece, maybe if you have some time check it out. Thanks. /watch?v=DPFI3unOyGA
so i'm gonna start a rock band, with that band make one of the best rock records of all time, then somehow end up with this song 13 years later, why not
@WINFIELD32750 ooft, 20 years later mate. Radiohead have been going since before '90, but they only got big in '92 with creep. I do totally agree with you though, Thom Yorke is probably the most versatile songwriter I've ever encountered. Who else could write My Iron Lung AND this?
@innocencefaded2112 i feel light up on my feet from the way you look at me you open up the universe yeah i bet you get this all the time i crumble when you touch my wings but that's okay 'cause i'm nothing i'm tougher than you think yeah i bet you get this all the time the no-hopers the overwhelmers the sweet talkers i bet you get this all the time i bet they just throw themselves at you the daydreamers the dope smokers the loose talkers yeah i bet you get this all the time
Why couldn't they release this on something other than vinyl. I'm all for vinyl-heads clinging to the format, but I, and MANY others don't own a record player, and would like to listen to it in a quality a tad higher than the accompanying audio of a "480p" youtube video.
At one time I would agree on the Thom Yorke comment, however, Bradford Cox of Deerhunter/Atlas Sound is giving anything Thom did a run for his money these days.
Moth by Burial and Four Tet is my favourite song of all time. Burial is my favourite Dubstep/Garage producer and Four Tet is... just well.. Four Tet. I was idly searching for Moth to play after coming back from a night out and... a new release from the allstars. I'll have to check this Thom Yorke fellow out.
@myfriendscallme7 Yes I know he is from Radiohead you spasticated half-wit barstard son of a mongrel donkey-goat. What I was supposing is that Radiohead, who are half-way to experimental and so are liked by people who have half a brain might actually be worth checking out. @TheWardy85 Your powers of reasoning are severely lacking... I expected that at least on this video there might be a high average level of basic intelligence. It seems I was wrong. Genious. I love this stuff. Burial and Tet with Thom York. Thom York just continues to lay it down.

@Vaelez i feel alive
i feel a light upon my feet
from the way you look at me
you open up the universe
i bet you get this all the time
i crumble when you touch my wings
but thats okay cuz i'm laughing
i'm tougher than you think
i bet you get this all the time
