@Intechdude300 Thanks for changing it! I think the last year for the VR6 Wagon was 2002 so it did have a 174 hp 12V VR6 mated to a 4 speed auto or a 5 MT. In 2002.5 VW put a 24V VR6 in the Jetta (sedans) allowing you to either have a GLX with a 5 speed auto or a GLI with a 6 MT.
Wrong, this car does have a 5 speed Automatic, you can tell because it has the option for manual mode. 4 speed auto Jetta's had no option for manual mode. However, since this does have the 5 speed auto this is a 24V VR6 which means 200 hp not 174 hp. I have this exact car in platnium grey so that is how I know.
i still find it amazing you can sit there and gunn the cars and revv them like that without the dealers or salesmen getting pissed and saying knock it off or firing you. when i was an auto detailer and would revv cars the dealer didnt like it too much at all. Caught me doing it and it was the main reason they didnt hire me. So to see you sit there and revv and gunn them with the sales guys standing around not saying anything is amazing.
Most of these cars are ran by finance companies. & these auctions are filled with others dealers with urge to buy & check everything. Some rev harder than me. Mot don't know that I'm filming & believe I'm just checking to possibly buy the cars myself.
Yeah I'm no employee to the auction. I'm under a dealer myself & I just do this on my spare time when I'm done with my own biz. Cant go in much detail on here tho.
@gunnlover its good to rev cars that arent being driven, its gets old fuel going and fuel injectors pumping hard. anything over 4k when its cold isnt reccomended to do all the time, but a car that isnt driven very often it actually does help.
@tremer88 yeah thats what i say and thats my philosophy exactly. Unfortunately alot of people like to argue its bad for cars bc and will blow the motor or throw a rod. never seen that happen if you are reasonably light on the gas. Im not saying full throttle, maybe 1/4-1/2 throttle is fine.
the VR6 is a lot better than a regular Jetta, in fact most Jetta interiors I have seen are poor, with buttons breaking off the dash. Surprised the information center didn't have any burned pixels on the screen, and the check engine light was actually off!
I hate VW and Audi, so my opinions on this matter are completely biased.
My dad had an '03 jetta GLI and he hated that thing lol. He hates FWD and every time he'd get on the gas the steering wheel would shake. Even though he switched to a TL thats still FWD it doesn't do it as bad.
What causes that clunking noise?...our 2000 Accord does that when the car is put into Drive or Reverse.

Please fix the fact that this car is a 24V VR6 with 200 hp and 5 speed tiptronic automatic. Not 174 hp and 4 speed auto.

@parsley0120 Hmm, must of looked up the specs to the GLX VR6 Wagon as these were the specs listed for that on edmunds but different to the sedan.
