Hi Beatrice. Just want to say a big thanks for making/uploading the video of Paul Caponigro. I met Paul back in the 1980's during a weekend workshop in the UK at Duckspool in Somerset. We exchanged letters for a while afterwards. He made a great impresion on me and my own approach to photography. Big thanks for uploading the film so I can show others. Thanks. If you see Paul again can you say hi from Nick Lloyd in the UK. cheers Nick
Paul Caponigro is a Master and tops among the finest photographers of our time. This video thoughtfully portraits Caponigro whose photography so beautifully reflects a deep emotional & spiritual sensitivity. A magnificent, “must see” exhibit of Caponigro’s work, “The Hidden Presence of Places”, at Farnsworth Museum, Rockland, Maine, was extended to January 15, 2012. If you can't go, the exhibit catalogue is a near substitute–with excellent reproductions & a wonderful intro & bio on Caponigro
Beatrice, thank you for making available to us this short interview with Paul Caponigro. He's a real master and a reference for many of us, even more in this world of today saturated with nonsense images.
I guess you won't se this since you are e-disconnected but I will write you to see if I can reconnect. I want a copy of the "sunfish on a rock" Charlote took that with her and I just found out she's gone.
Paul has always been the "real deal". Right to the point, no bull. His work is very special. It is nice to know that this planet has such a talented image maker.
What i like the most are the pictures Paul has made and in doing so has eliminated all the other stuff. And then take a picture and just go off someplace quiet and then
just let the image work on my psyche where i enjoy all the places i go .
I like his whole body of work and it would be very difficult for me to select any one image of his for myself. That is what i like about PC all that . Especially the
