But, um... "Mystic Oriental Dream ~ Ancient Temple" isn't Youmu's theme. It's the theme to her stage, yes, but her actual theme is "Hiroari Shoots the Strange Bird ~ Till When?"...

And, also, kind of a nitpick, but (and the wiki is guilty of this, too) the album's title shouldn't actually be spelled correctly like that. If you look on the cover, it's spelled "blossums".

That being said, in the description, the song is attributed to Perfect Cherry Blossom, rather than saying "Mystic Oriental Dream ~ Ancient Temple (Youmu Konpaku's theme - Touhou 9: Phantasmagoria of Flower View)".

@rebbybeckers1987 Also, if the wiki is accurate (the video credits at the end don't say either way), kairo used the PCB version of Ancient Temple, which (according to ZUN's notes for PoFV) isn't quite the same as PoFV's version (and thus the version that's Youmu's theme).

Yes, I know, I'm being nitpicky/pedantic/etc. See also one of the videos for "The Dollmaker of Bucuresti", in which I bang my head on the desk because it SHOULD be "Bucharest".

@copycatzero The only notable difference between the PoFV and PCB versions of Ancient Temple is the pitch--the pitch of the PCB version is higher iirc. The pitch in this version doesn't match either one so it really doesn't matter--it's arranging the exact same song. It's like the difference between Bloom Nob(ry ~ Border of Life and Border of Life.

And it's "Bucuresti" in Romanian, so it's accurate.

@StrawberryMirror My position when raging against "Bucuresti" was that, yes, that's the Romanian name for the city... but the rest of the song's title was translated into English, not Romanian, so it should use the English name for it. Much like, yes, "Ancient Temple" IS one of Youmu's themes... but not in PCB, which is what the description cited.

But those are, as I said, nitpicky arguments that I'm not going to win, so it's pointless to draw them out any further...

I liked this video, but comments like yours only provoke more people to hit the dislike button out of spite. Likes and dislikes have no bearing on the video itself, but there always seems to be someone who feels compelled to bring them up in the comments. Is there something wrong with just enjoying the video and not paying attention to what that small bar below it has to say?

@EphidelDarkheart Of course there isn't. And for the most part I agree with what you say. Normally I don't bother making such comments. It was supposed to be a throw away, soon to be forgotten.

On the other hand, I'm not afraid to express myself for fear that others will be motivated to dislike something I like. While I don't make a habit out of picking fights with others, I will not be intimidated into silence. Perhaps you should also not pay attention to what the small bar has to say.
