  • y dime: ¿Que lo impulsa?

  • WHERE DO YOU SIT! LOLOL

  • i think there's no way to turn my wheel left or right//

  • is this in 3d wharehouse?

  • @neopangaia

    yes:

    sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=c908003f50e38395386c7e33a230058a

  • Pretty cool...albeit a bit front heavy. But I assume you would planned it to carry some sort of load/pack in the back.

  • как это возможно в скетч ап?!

  • Nice, but not practial.

  • looks like one of the vehicles from Red Faction: Guerilla :D nice work

  • It looks awesome, but the center of gravity has got to be WAY too far forward. I'd be worried, driving that forward down a steep inverse slope, of over-balancing and rolling forward. Presumably you've assumed an all-electric drive - separate motors in each wheel hub, likely - so perhaps the battery packs, or fuel for a generating IC engine, would provide a better balance point, if it extended backwards, behind the passenger cabin ...?

  • Very cool man truck !- flying man

  • Is it okay if i build a model of this for my robotics team?

  • @BucksandBanjos

    it's ok :)

  • you could sell that design to hot wheeles thats pretty cool

  • remembers me a bit from the game "Red Faction Guerilla"

  • aloging we will go...2011skidder

  • ant...nice

  • wow! sorry! i posted my detracting comment below on the wrong vid page. sorry about that.

  • Comment removed

  • u play too much Halo

  • I could see a wire leading to altenator style generators that would power the wheels indivdually.

  • I also heavily doubt the originality of the design. It is very possible that he never saw the red faction vehicle as I had to look it up to see what you guys were talking about. But the actual operation of the vehicle is not original and has been around for a while. You don't see it often as it is very difficult to get it working properly and costs crazy amounts of money. Not to mention you have to be a mechanical engineer to make sure it doesn't topple over.

Do a search for "chain driven jeep"

  • looks like something off of red faction

  • That looks like it would be pretty fun to drive in the forest.^^

  • I'd like to ride it :D

  • nice dude! at first i was like where do you sit?! then i was like ohhhhhhhhh!! (:

  • Wheres the engine go

  • Superb design!

  • cool concept!

  • i have to learn how to use google sketchup better

  • bnngm,hj

  • Very nice! Looks like some sort of space rover. Nerd moment: looks like a starcraft terran vehicle design lol.

  • WOW, that is amazing, I have Sketchup as well, but I can`t do near as good as you! Thanks for the video!! :)

  • Wow, that's amazing, I have sketchup as well & I can't do near as good as you, thanks for the video!

  • just retype the title "terrian vehicle" because its only showing one model / still, it looks cool

  • wow ..this looks cool! love to make something like this for my comic book! awesome !

  • Can this fly ? :P

  • Nice drawing, good for firefighting. Keep on going with your fantasies man, my Arctic Cat is still better...

  • Cool!! A Grasshopper Mech!!

  • The insectoid cockpit looks like a micro R/C helicopter cockpit I saw. Awesome vehicle.

  • I do not see any disadvantages to this design are you planning on recreating this in real life?

  • Reminds me of one of the vehicles on Red Faction Guerilla

  • this isint cool...its awesome

  • this is nice, u kould tweak it a bit, but overall, its good, id buy it (a real version), if i could

  • Nice . Kind of like a tow tractor.

  • magnectically driven wheels? iono how are you going to power it ? lol

  • skip chain drive, go straight to hub motors with integral gears, like fork lifts and jcb's

andd that to a fuel cell it will go anywhere, and suspension easy

  • This is not a easy vehicle to build if you want the real thing. The weight alone you are not going to get a big power off tiny electric. Central power unit with chain driven linked inside those two shafts on each wheels. Controlling suspensions independently is another huge task. I am not saying this is impossible but maybe impractical on this planet.

  • INVENCION ES LA CLAVE

  • on the roof of the cockpit you meathead

  • where do you sit

  • in the cockpit?

  • I think your all wrong! I would say that it has 4 separate motors. One electric motor inside the wheel per wheel. Some things need to be thought/engineered over more. But overall vary nice. Also it needs a pod on the back that opens up to reveal the cargo area! Looks to me like a S&RV.

  • is that come with a R/C system

  • dont like the angles on the front suspension..

  • Can we get a little explanation, I don't see transaxles or driveshafts. Are the cylinders in the center the drive motors? If they are, and are feasable, it would be a great off roader sort of acts like a trailer with a trailing arm suspension pretty nice job, if you can make it work.

  • i disagree, i think an explanation would only make it seem less plausible. althought it could be built i think well sooner see this in a game than in production.

  • i think its would be belt or chain driven

  • GOOD JOB!! I especially like the "scissors" style suspension with the shock absorber counter-acting the load. I think it's BRILLIANT!!

  • @mcbabbions: if you share your work is supposed to see some critics good one and bad ones... if you don't want that your work be criticized dont share it or share it without message enable! dont you agree!?

  • Is this your own design, or did you recreate it? If you don't mind, I will try to make something similar in solidworks.

  • this design is all mine,

I was not inspired by anything, I just used my imagination,

    if you think

to do something similar, show me the final result, thx

  • @mcbabbions Sure what ever you say. It's not like it looks like a vehicle from red faction or anything.....

  • @mcbabbions

i think the downhill ability is rather low because the capsule is so far on the front

  • SUPER

  • is that from red facton?

  • looks too cartoony, needs a more realistic look aka solidworks

  • @ Zorack10

It sounds like you're commenting on how the model is rendered rather than the design itself.

To that end, Sketchup supports a number of 3rd party plugins, so the model could be rendered much more realistically, within sketchup, just by utilizing Vray or something simmilar.

  • Nice to see but have many engeniering issues that cant be done if it was to built it to drive.

  • amazing how experts show up once the work is done -

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it. Chinese Proverb

  • se ve muy bien nice

  • nice

  • dont you think its a little top heavy? and where is the drive shaft?

  • excellent!

  • make an RC car from this! it would be possible, but extremely difficult. 5 stars coz it would make an awesome drift machine (no wieght over the back wheels you see)

  • Thats awsome man ;), i hope you dont mind but im going to build this in gmod.

  • Very cool man! good work!

  • how did you make the tires?

  • he probably made the cylender, then drew those shapes on them, pulled them out, and scaled the ends of them down

  • If those are mud flaps in the back, then those are really pointless..

  • Nice wonder how it would look with tracks and a big diesel engine.

  • gay vid

  • Where is the driveline? How does it steer?

  • que chafa esta mal diseñado no es todo terreno

  • put a flatbed on it so it can haul cargo.

  • urm, no movement

  • You can't move stuff in sketchup.

  • Well... Vanilla Sketchup, no... But google 'SketchyPhysics'. Right now it has motors that are either on or off from the getgo, but the next version is supposed to have WASD support. Cool stuff :D

  • nice

  • nice job buddy,really nice!!

  • wouldnt the weight be uneven.

  • Ur vehicle patent?

  • y'know what would be cool? if when you put that on google earth, make it MASSIVE, and then go into the flight sim mode and fly around it! (flight sim is in tools menu, or some combination of like ctrl alt a, i dunno) that would be SWEET!

  • but can it move? make it in sketchyphysics then it'll be something

  • Fucking awesome...

  • how long are you working with photoshop?

  • it's done with sketchip..:)

  • ow yeah,

    sorry.

and how long are you working with sketchup?

  • about 2 years

  • wow,

    now i understand

  • Very nice. Need suspension flex

  • 5*! excellent work, you should ad some classical music with youtube's remix tool ( vivaldi's 4 season , classical music has no copyright ), and in "about this video" an accurate description, to help people finding you...

    CIAO ;)

  • Thanx for advice :)

    CIAOOO

  • VERY COOOL...i won't be suprised if i'll see this car in the next sci fi movie about going to mars.
