Beautiful! Someone comments that their bodies "have the weight of a feather", which eloquently describes the grace with which this couple moves. I would like to add that their bodies seem to cease to be plural, becoming one unit that moves and breathes together. Observe initially the "jump" when the man slides over the woman's back around 15 seconds. His entire body seems an extension of her core, the way good arms seem an extension of the back and torso. Just GORGEOUS.
this is absolutely stunning. Now, I believe in opinion just as much as any other person, but I think that one must have a lot of guts to make some ignorant remark that this is silly choreography. I have half a mind to believe that this person does not understand anything, nor will EVER understand anything, about the art of ballet. This is not meant to be Swan Lake, it is contemporary ballet, for heaven's sake!
Call me crazy. Call me ignorant. Call me much worse... These are stunning dancers, but this is not brilliant choreography!! Some of it is down right silly... Is it any wonder that Dance compared to all other performing arts makes the least amount of money and has the least patronage? Before you start typing a nasty response, think for a moment about what great art really is. Perhaps you can be the one to change the tides...
In fact, I call you more than just "crazy" or "ignorant". You are just ill-informed and a dance slob. This is some of the greatest choreography since Balanchine. By the way, dancers aren't in it for the money and patronage, which in your opinion merits whether something is "great art." Jerk.
people don't create dance with the idea of making money. If we loved MAKING MONEY, we wouldn't be dancers. The medium is not understood by everyone, and obviously you do not understand. Perhaps you must allow your lack of comprehension, to grant you the humility to refrain from making comments on something you do no know about. The choreography is absolutely brilliant.
Patronage, is another whole deal altogether..... it is easier to be a patron to music becasue there are less things involved in staging it. .... and you do not really seem to know of those intricacies as well. I have thought for more than several moments about what ART really is... and this choreography seems to be a clear expression of a true artist.....
It was brilliant! especially compared to normal Jiri Kylian stuff.

Scusi: Il Quarto Libro di Madigali
Sparge la morte al mio Signor nel viso
Tra squallidi pallori
Pietosissimi horrori,
Poi lo rimira e ne divien pietosa;
Geme, sospira, e più ferir non osa.
Ei, che temer la mira,
Inchina il capo, asconde il viso, e spira.

Everything is fantastic for me but the music. I don't like at all. It's a loss of originality

did you set out to bash all of this choreographers videos on youtube?
His choreography is absolutely stunning. It's just a different type of art. It's not classical ballet or anything. You just don't like it.
