Also, there are many more issues that restrict SMALL businesses. When large corporations play the federal government (dems and reps), that is when citizens (or consumers) pay the price.

Most people also don't realize that the most vital effects of a President aren't seen until long after their Presidency. People are still trying to decide if Reagan's economic policies were a success, while others believe Clinton's economic success was as result of Reagan. Who knows? The point is that we had a problem, yes, but why do we need to make it worse? 1 TRILLION dollars worse?

@wowzinger The Republican party freed the slaves because they were the more liberal party 150 years ago. The first Progressives were Republican at the turn of the century. They introduced progressive taxation, the first reforms on wall streets, and the national parks. We wanted to stay out of WW1 and WW2, but we were kind off forced into it. We were not forced into Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't like Yemen and Libya at all, but atleast were not forced to a long-term occupation.

@bdubu33 you realize that the US has the 3rd highest corporate tax in the industrialized world? Those taxes translate into higher prices. Also, there are many more issues that restrict SMALL businesses. Small businesses employ near 1/2 of the population and when new tax hikes, REGULATIONS, and other federal nonsense come, more small businesses must close their doors. When large corporations play the federal government (dems and reps), that is when citizens (or consumers) pay the price.

also, a government health care system (unlike HMO's) has no interest in witholding care for profit (like HMO's do), so if you get sick or injured you will be given full care

No, HossGuv. It's dumb because it doesn't even say anything correctly. And use actual voices next time rather than Microsoft Mike and Microsoft Sally(The first one was probably right, the second I know is wrong but you get the idea).
