@Biddybalboa I never said he left I was just saying he should come back to do the character designs I know he does the logo's. But he should be doing the character designs he does much better work than Tetsuya. And from what I heard he's planning on quiting Square to go to Mistwalker with Hironobu which he should because they make amazing games together. I can already tell Mistwalker is gonna be the next better Square.
@Biddybalboa He is in 2010 they got together and Amano agreed to do the character designs for a Mistwalker game. Hironobu actually even said considering having the models look like models from Amano's paintings :D
@futureanimatior Sakaguchi's Mistwalker still lacks the funds, resource and publicity to be "the next big Square", unfortunately. Nobuo Uematsu has joined Sakaguchi and creator and designer Akira Toriyama in creating beautiful works such as Blue Dragon, but it's still a long ways off until Amano decides to leave Square. Nomura's art is boring, repetitive and easily replaced, whereas Amano's roots in naturalism and art noveau are unique and expressive. He is worth way too much to be with Square.

@futureanimatior He never left he just mostly does concept art and the logos, but yeah I prefer him to Tetsuya for character designs.
