And God said "Let there be electronica." And there was electronica. God looked down on what he had made and saw it was good. And on the seventh day, God turned up the bass and danced on the edge of the universe, for His work was done. :D
Music is determined by the message and intent it carries, I love the message of this song, and the intent to praise God,..will definitely be listening for a LONG time!
I happen to love this! As workout music only?? NO! This is amazing music to praise with in jubilee, in joy and in excitement. There is a HUGE difference between Praise and Worship. Praise is more robust, the word Worship means to kiss with words. I see no problem with this song incorporated in a church program I would love it! It's time we get out of ruts and find something joyful to celebrate the Lord for in triumphant procession and with a new sound!
Yes this song is very interesting, but to have it play it in my church? i can't agree to that because this does not feel right. I wouldn't be able to get on my knees and humbly pray to the lord with this playing in the back ground. I wouldn't mind exercising to this but to have it as something extremely spiritual i cant say i would like that. And no it should not play in pentacostal churches while they pray in tongues that would not be very nourishing to the spirit in their opinion.
Hmm, here is what I can gather insofar as lyrics. It seems to repeat "Morning star" in a chopped up, digitalized way throughout the song. Then at the chorus it seems to say:
Morning star
Shining at the edge of night You are
Morning light
Dispelling all the darkest form of night
(some words I can't make out)
None beyond our God
In the darkest darkness
Like the morning star
Like the morning star, the morning star, the morning star-ar-ar-ar-ar...
youssarian91 you are sooooo right, Pentecostal churches need this, this is awesome stuff and speaking in tongues will be just like singing to this stuff.
@SealedSage Jesus is known as the Morning star, we are created in the image of the Father after His likeness,..as Jesus is in this world so are we so this is in essence reminding us of our mission statement to radiate His glory and what happens when His light shines, the darkness flees.
@SealedSage Music is music. Quite simply how your heart expresses itself with that music is a new song and different from another. One person's hallelujah will be different in each moment it is spoken. "Secular" would not have the creativity it has if it wasn't for God, He created us with the need to create. We do for His name and others for lust, drugs etc. Some music will only conjure images of drugs for some (eg rock, remember sex drugs and rock and roll? Yet there is Christian Rock -Petra)
@CalledMeHisOwn Music is music? Really? Song? I don't hear singing. There is no message, but to dance to the beat. I admire your heart and all, but all I'm saying is that the idea of christian electronic dance is just silly. There is no revitalizing and uplifting message to renew my soul. There is no text to provide me with a worship attitude. There is no inspired composition to reflect the majesty of God's design. Am I just as good if not better off listening secular dance music?
@SealedSage Still comes back to Praise is dance and joyful triumphant procession. Check David out when he lost his clothes. Worship is different it's more intimate, more like a ballad of love or adoration. This one fits the praise cat. The lyrics for this one are
"Morning Star, Shining at the edge of night you are
Guiding Light, dispelling all the darkness of the night.
And in the coldest darkest hour, I know that YOU'RE not far,
and YOU will pierce the darkness... like the Morning Star.
@SealedSage Seriously? If you don't like the idea of Christian Electronic Dance, then don't listen to it. It's that simple. Nobody here ever said 'Hey! You have to come here to this video, listen to it, and LIKE it!'.
Stop dissing it just because it's different than usual Christian music.
@SealedSage Just be careful when you voice your opinions. There are people that do like this type of music, so they might take offense more so than I did.
This is what the Christian faith needs! Christian electronica and techno. Whoever said that hymns and Christian rock were all that were allowed? Get this into my Pentecostal Assembly of God church and we'll be speaking in tongues like crazy. LOL.
youssarian, you better talk.....AMEN! Come to my channel, and check out Thundergospel, "Yeshua"......And tell me how we are gonna be slammin our heads to some dope beats....worshipping JESUS LIKE NO TOMMORROW!!! I know GOD loves Thundergospel's "Yeshua"....everytime i listen to it, i picture all of the radical youth for Jesus, just before a huge crucifix, offering worship in our way...hip hop, belly dancing, banging....HE MUST BE WORSHIPPED, as much as possible....HHALLELEUJAH!!

Props to my Brazilian Bruthas (Major Pax) for this version, the original version has the following lyrics:
Morning Star, Shining at the edge of night you are...
Guiding Light, dispelling all the darkness of the night.
And in the coldest darkest hour, I know that YOU're not far,
and YOU will pierce the darkness... like the Morning Star.
