@RebeccaHappy When you go to an event (awards banquet, etc.) and you just eat and leave, you feel like something is missing. It's that presentation of some sort that shows the guests that they are appreciated even more. Yes, the food was wonderful, but entertainment makes the evening even better. :)
John, thanks for this. I've been entertaining in both the corporate and festival world for over 10 years now, and I've heard this story more times than I can even remember. Sure, food is an important part of these events, and no one wants to go to a company gathering and get McDonald's, but you don't need to hire a 5-star restaurant chef to make meatballs on sticks!
A great show with audience participation will be the most memorable part of any corporate event.
