There are no Sappers in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command or U.S. Special Operations Command. For the Army, the Special Operations Experts that need anything demolished, cleared, or built are the 18C (Special Operations Engineer) ~ Army Special Forces. I doubt the Sapper Course is in the same league as the 18C Course. However, Sappers are definitely the elite in their respective CMF.
@JuErLe359 Rangers who's expertise are demolitions. All types from improvised to airfield denial to breaching charges. You name it Sappers Leaders can do it.

Foolish question. But are sappers pretty much rangers with explosives? Or a mix of rangers and EOD?
