  • what's with the dying battery tone? it's either the guitar or the amp; adding fx only makes it worse...

  • Not impressed with the sound when not running a delay.

  • OMG, you sound just like Fernando Valenzuela!!

  • E.H.

  • Your playing is awesome! I like the pedal too!

  • I can't see any mod in the sound except for a little bit of added gain. Maybe it's great but I can't tell

  • What song was playing at the beginning? D:

  • where can you find this kinda gear in kentucky man...im from paris ky ...aka nowhere...

  • @13RGaun I hear Guitar Emporium in Louisville has quite the selection...otherwise checkout Wilcutt's in LexVegas. There's also a killer place for pedals in Morehead, KY called HotRod's Guitar Shop - I'm from Paintsville, KY therefore I know the feeling...

  • omg that was amzing

  • That cab sucks! Sounds fizzy. Go back to the jaguar.

  • WTF are you a Jack Black impersonator? Well cool pedal.

  • "Adds extra secret source with your tone" and "Pushes your tone over the top" well said, sums up the pedal perfectly!

  • Man your voice is sooo nasty, sound like you want to slowly make love to those pedals!

  • I like how GMD has to play rockabilly if he's using delay.

  • this preamp is extremely awesome :) possibly need one :)

  • I love Sissy! My favourite of all your guitars!

  • The preamp does give your sound some needed beef.

  • in space....everyone can hear u fart

  • There´s an Ibanez PG on the wall?

  • @ems81ar yup, its an rg

  • There is no sound in space D: How is this possible?

  • @TheSpearsProductions there totally is! didn't you see star wars?

  • Yo Man,

Cool jam and great gear. I tried the Burris low watt heads at the Nashville amp show last weekend. Great units! Parallel effects loops with send and return level controls.

I also found out what a 100 watt full stack sounds like in a hotel room. Truly damaging!

    Keep rawkin'

  • Never really cared for that guitar until now. (I still would've made it candy green sparkle and called it old greg though.)

  • I dig it. Not quite as transparent as my TIM, but still very cool.

  • @SingleCoilVoodoo its supposed to color your tone.....

  • @Fenderkid67 I guess it depends what your definition of color is. The atomic brain is basically a dual DYNO BRAIN, which is designed to push your amp into dirt or over the edge....GREAT PEDAL. The ABBY side of the ATOMIC, while adding a little more emphasis on the high end of the EQ, provides an overall increase...ala solo mode. The DYNO and ATOMIC were made to increase the ability of your amp to "hear" your guitar...not change it. If I am way off, maybe the Nocture folks can chime in on this.

  • @SingleCoilVoodoo - I have a TIM and one of these...Totally different animals. A TIM is an OD pedal, this is a preamp. You can dial the gain down on these Brain pedals to make them more transparent if that's what you're after too.

  • @mikeyschade NICE...thanks for the info.

  • Great great playing man. Loved the sound here. Would you place this pedal at the beginning of a chain, or right before your delay and reverb for the effect in the video?

  • Nice review. Great playing! You've got mad skills.

  • I don't really care about the pedal (I love it tho) I just came here to listen you play :)

  • nice video hey can you make a video crying and complaining that you are not Jack Black and had enough .You know with real tears .

    he he

    cheers

  • @rikinoki haha nice...or just ask people to search "The State of the Vintage Guitar Market", fast-forward to 1:35 and get it over with this whole Jack Black nonsense! :)

  • @KRomeroCustomPedals Thats where people like me make a killing. People have been hit twice now with downfalls and I am still balling. I have been buying anything and everything I can get my hands on for what I consider a deal which would generally make you puke on yourself. I got a 61' GIbson SG "THE REAL THING Les Paul" for..........should I even say it............$200..... Yeah thats right 200$, my buddy found a 1960 something GIbson ES 355 and he paid only $220 for it. You have to look.

  • Clear plastic chicken-head knobs. thats cool. Never seen them before....

  • I still don't believe you aren't jack black...

  • GMD is a part of my everyday life!

  • you use da pick of destiny?

  • Great review - great Pedal !!! Have a Dyno Brain and love it.

And man - you can play ...

  • NICE

  • adds just enough drive to be slighty dirty i like it bet some blues would sound good with it maybe some open g delta stuff

  • YAY YOUR BACK :P

  • lol why does everyone wnat to know "what" it does... its all about sound right? seems like when he kicks in the pedal everything sounds so much better. SO release your human element of perfection and allow your mind to listen without needing an explanation..........................

  • It acts as a pre-amp. Turning it on gives your signal a bit of a boost, so the tubes are pushed in the amp giving you a different tone without overdriving/ distorting it.

  • mmmm pie

  • that atomic brain really gives life to the Echo/delay pedal!!! what a difference!!!! I WANT ONE!!!

  • woohoo wohoohoo woohoo woohoohoo

  • i still dont really get what this pedal does...

  • @TioJoao it gives you a little extra secret sauce with your tone, na im just kidding i have no idea either

  • That sissy of yours sounds reeeally good, my steve vai gem is good but I want that sound too :(

  • fourth

  • please do a morley pro series II. and thank you for the awesome pedal demo i think i know what i be gettin soon

  • THANK YOU!! I've been waiting for this pedal!

  • I like pie .
