Sharpening Mower Blade, Angle Grinder

Its only wrong if you don't know what you are doing. I can do all kinds of things with a grinder and I've even watched guys sharpen chainsaw chains with grinders before. But I would have to agree, that for most people on here, it is definitely wrong for them. Too many people play with tools that they don't know how to use.

I actually sharpened my blades with a angle grinder. I left them on the mower and I posted the video as a response. It works pretty damn well.

WOW!!! I must say that was a great safty training video. I just wanted to say that you have helped me be a better Saftey Tech. I have seen just about everything and though common everyday jobs like sharpening blades or grinding a bead the fact remains... Safety 1st. Eyes,ears,hands, PPE a must! "When you look for hazards you find them, When you dont look THEY FIND YOU! (Take the time to do it right) OR DONT DO IT AT ALL!!! By the way I think that you shoud consider comedy. What a laugh I had.

May I suggest changing the title of this video to; How NOT to Sharpen Mower Blade With Angle Grinder?! I watched this several times and cannot find one thing you did right except quit while you still had your limbs and digits! 1) No safety glasses or gloves? 2) Grinding on top of a container that once held something flammable? 3) Using your foot as a vise? 4) Dropping a power tool into the dirt while the wheel still moving? Sorry, but I'm gonna have to rate you zero outta five on this one!
