  • one word... amazing !

  • He's so creative!

  • awesome dude, just awesome!

  • I Love that you've embodied the works of each director to the appropriate songs/sounds. Your missing The short film he did for TOKYO! and Bloc Party. But Dont Mind me. Your Awesome.

  • Ik kijk heel vaak naar jou videos, prachtig inelkaar gezet en ik kom zelfs films tegen die zelfs IK nog niet heb gezien, bedankt : )

  • What's the first song?

  • would be cool to have seen scenes from gondry's segment in tokyo! on here.

i know tokyo! was just different segments, but his segment in that movie really had his style all over it, and it could have contributed to this montage.

  • seriously, all these comments asking which version of sleepyhead it is and no one has answered? C'MAAAN i need it

  • @charlie61087 There's one four comments below you. It's called 'Passion Pit - Sleepyhead (Beautiful Live Acoustic version)' here on YouTube.

  • Very very good montage :D

  • he loses credit for making a crap storm like Green Hornet....

  • What, no Dave Chappelle's Block Party?

  • What version of Sleepyhead is this?

  • I need to know which version of "Sleepyhead" you used in this! Can't find it anywhere. Anyway - great job, I'm really diggin' the series.

  • Great as always; you never disappoint. :)

  • Well done again, Kees! Big fan!

If you do Aronofsky you'll pretty much have done all my favorite directors. :) The Boyle bit is still my favorite. :)

  • every time I watch one of your [the films of], I have to revisit every single film in the video. please never stop making them. :)

btw: although there's no copyright, it may be appropriate to note in the description that the monologue bit (and the title of the 2nd movie) is from the poem "Eloisa to Abelard" by the great Alexander Pope.

  • @schoisch Well, it's a one-year project I'm afraid! And I think the copyright on that poem has expired by now... Thanks!

  • do Christopher Nolan next, Kees! keep it real as always !

  • I think Wes Anderson would be also pretty good choice for the series.

  • (Film Major Speaking) You have the exquisite taste and are a phenomenal editor. Keep up the great work, I watch these at least twice a day

  • Definitely your best one of the series, glad you finally decided to get original with the music selection.

  • David lynch is next. Count on it.

  • Why isn't Dave Chappelles Block Party included, its one of his films.

  • Never knew the guy behind all the great pieces of work, only from ESoTSM, love his work!! Great job keep them coming!!

  • The third song, has been stuck in my head the past couple of days thanks to this video. Bravo :)

  • Another hit. This one is your most personal yet!

  • one of my favorite films would have to be The Science of Sleep :)

  • Kees! don't forget your fans when you become famous!

  • These videos are excellent. Please keep them up.

  • "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" has to be one of my all-time favorite films. Michel Gondry is a wizard of forced perspective and movie magic =]

  • i have to say that i'm really not familiar with these films, but with a cute intro and the artistic atmosphere, this work do arises my interest for the stories! :o) thanks for making [the films of] series, i so respect you for introducing these movies and directors. my ''to watch" list keeps getting longer! :oD

  • "lamp"... huh? Makes me think of Pixar, but maybe thats just because i got back from seeing Cars 2. Anyway, there isnt just one Pixar director, so im stumped!

  • This was perfect. Lovely soundtrack, and great montage, as always.

  • You should do either a Spike Jonze or Charlie Kaufman one

  • beautiful! loved 'sleepyhead' at the end!!

  • Amazing as always. Fincher is still my fav. Try and beat that!

  • As usual: beautiful ;)

  • nog een hele goeie!!

  • what album is that version of sleepyhead on?

  • I absolutely love [the films of] series. Your videos have great composition and spot-on choices of music.

    Please don't stop.

  • keesv is there one guy that just doesnt like u or sumn every video has 1 dislike

  • I've never seen Human Nature but now I am going to watch it right away

  • great work dude

  • excellent work indeed. may i ask wich program(s) you re using for that kind of quality?

  • Fantastic as always!

  • Awesome job Kees.....absolutely amazing ....

  • so good

  • you know, the montages of the films that you made so far has been, wonderful. i love majority of the directors that you have featured. sopphia coppola's and wes anderson's are my top from your list. when i saw this montage, i cried a little cause i saw the "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" clips and it reminded me of the movie.

thank you, for sharing your great montages and also, for making me smile first on my birthday. : )

  • @gedembol thanks! happy birthday!!

  • @keesvdijkhuizen

thank you! : ) would you mind if i added you in facebook..? : )

  • your so cool!

  • Amazing job here, Kees. :)

  • dude, thank you so much. It was perfect

  • Awesome video.

  • Thank you.

  • It was good, im just not a big fan of Gondry

  • amazing work! and lol @ anyone thinking no one gives a damn about science of sleep. if anything, that's way better than eternal sunshine but whatever haha.

  • id unno how u do it keesv but you always pull off an amazing [Films of]

  • no way!!!! YESTERDAY I was thinking that to make your series of video PERFECT, with ALL my fav. directors, you should have made a Gondry video......and now here it is!!! that is kind of coool. thanks

  • GREAT!!!! =)

  • and Tokyo?

  • Not your best, but still liked it.

Please do Christopher Nolan,Edgar Wright, and Clint Eastwood.

  • Really love this one man. I think it's perfect.

  • Dude, it's great and all but make one for Nolan for gods sake.

  • @cnklky YEEEESSS!!!! And don't leave out Following!

  • @SpaceboundJoker wait did you just say no one gives a damn about the science of sleep? I think your comment just became irrelevant.

  • @keesvdijkhuizen not that nobody cares about it, but not a whole lot of people no about it, so its gonna make for a less interesting vid. i'm a huge fan of yours but it seems you're shying away from big name directors. Everybody wants to see what you can do with the likes of Nolan or Tarantino who have small but exciting filmographies. I wouldn't expect a scorsese or spielberg because they have such a huge list of films. I just wanna see you take a chance on a big name director

  • @SpaceboundJoker Be Kind Rewind is a great movie.

  • @SpaceboundJoker dude, dont hate aprecciate

  • @SpaceboundJoker I agree with kees, The Science of Sleep was an amazing movie. And this was an amazing video. And Danny Boyle, Wes Anderson, and Baz Luhrmann are hardly indie directors.

  • Every time I watch one of your videos I get the chills, I don't know why, but the mix between the sound and the image is always so powerful. Your an excelent editor.

  • Great Job Kees!!!!!

  • Another amazing tribute! I keep on thinking that i will eventually be disappointed by one of your videos, but you just continually put out these videos with just as much skill and amusement as the last. Truly amazing, and i already cant wait for your next one!

  • @keesvdijkhuizen I searched for it literally more than 1 hour. I tried almost every phrase that had to do something with ,,acoustic" and ,,Sleepyhead". Then you sais ,,Search Sleepyhead Acoustic!" and ofcourse, suddenly, I found it in a few seconds. Your talent is obviously not just for movies ^^.

  • You seriously have a gift my friend. I'm going to become some movie director just so I can work with you.

  • kees... thanks for the superb work. really enjoyed watching these videos!

  • And one last question - what version of Sleepyhead did you used please ? :-( I cant find it anywere on youtube, and it sounds so lovely.

  • @klerotik It's a live performance on BBC Radio. It should be on YouTube if you search 'Sleepyhead Acoustic'!

  • Somebody please hire this guy to edit your next film

  • Love it :D

maybe you want to use music of B-complex (like Girl With flowers)

    ;P

  • Hard to watch this one as Eternal Sunshine makes me sad as I was going through a very rough patch when it was released and could relate a lot to it

  • <3

  • You absolutely dont get the credit you should have. Seriously, this is amazing.

  • Great job! Keep up the good work.

  • Loved it Kees! Been waiting for someone to use 'Sleepyhead' for a while now, you nailed it!

  • хорошо, очень хорошо...)

  • I had no idea that three of the most lovely films I have seen (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Be Kind Rewind and The Science of Sleep) were all by the same director. Amazing.

  • You should make videos for Darren Aronofsky, Richard Linklater, Quentin Tarantino, Terry Gilliam, and Stanley Kubrick.

  • @LibraHorse1 Wow! Awesome choices! I'd love to see Terry Gilliam:)

  • I've been looking forward to watching your vids on every last fridays.

Today, I thought 'Thank God it's friday!!!!'

  • "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is my Favorite Movie and I love Michel Gondry. But maybe Hollywood wasn´t the right choice: "The Green Hornet" was lame :(

  • not what i am expecting from michel gondry's [the films of]... not super/amazing, but still good :)

  • Love it! Keep up the good work! But how is this version of "Sleepyhead" called? It's different than the original version.

  • hey, how about some European director, Truffaut, Aki Kaurismäki, Lars Von Trier, Lukas Moodysson for example...? (:

  • @rajatapausorg isn't michel gondry from france?

  • @Chihizo yeah, but his films are very american :) I would love to see this kind of video about European film art.

  • @rajatapausorg I do understand you, but Gondry is far far away from Hollywood and all "normal" movies.

His ideas and how he gets them to live is just awesome.

Yeah if he choose Lars von Trier, Michael Haneke or other European directors would be nice, but I would also enjoy some bigger names like Tarantino e.g.

  • super awesome!

  • again a masterpiece!

  • I loved it! Yet another excellent piece of art you've created. Your a big inspiration of mine, your pacing and scene selection are always perfectly done. Great job!
