I Love that you've embodied the works of each director to the appropriate songs/sounds. Your missing The short film he did for TOKYO! and Bloc Party. But Dont Mind me. Your Awesome.
would be cool to have seen scenes from gondry's segment in tokyo! on here.
i know tokyo! was just different segments, but his segment in that movie really had his style all over it, and it could have contributed to this montage.
every time I watch one of your [the films of], I have to revisit every single film in the video. please never stop making them. :)
btw: although there's no copyright, it may be appropriate to note in the description that the monologue bit (and the title of the 2nd movie) is from the poem "Eloisa to Abelard" by the great Alexander Pope.
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" has to be one of my all-time favorite films. Michel Gondry is a wizard of forced perspective and movie magic =]
i have to say that i'm really not familiar with these films, but with a cute intro and the artistic atmosphere, this work do arises my interest for the stories! :o) thanks for making [the films of] series, i so respect you for introducing these movies and directors. my ''to watch" list keeps getting longer! :oD
"lamp"... huh? Makes me think of Pixar, but maybe thats just because i got back from seeing Cars 2. Anyway, there isnt just one Pixar director, so im stumped!
you know, the montages of the films that you made so far has been, wonderful. i love majority of the directors that you have featured. sopphia coppola's and wes anderson's are my top from your list. when i saw this montage, i cried a little cause i saw the "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" clips and it reminded me of the movie.
thank you, for sharing your great montages and also, for making me smile first on my birthday. : )
amazing work! and lol @ anyone thinking no one gives a damn about science of sleep. if anything, that's way better than eternal sunshine but whatever haha.
no way!!!! YESTERDAY I was thinking that to make your series of video PERFECT, with ALL my fav. directors, you should have made a Gondry video......and now here it is!!! that is kind of coool. thanks
by far the least interesting of the films of series. you seem to wanna only se indie type directors with the exception of david fincher. now eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is my favorite movie of all time, but those other movies nobody gives a damn about, especially green hornet which was straight up trash. this video needed a song that could really capture you. your last video had exit music and the fincher vid had my body is a cage... songs that lure you.. disappointed to say the least
@keesvdijkhuizen not that nobody cares about it, but not a whole lot of people no about it, so its gonna make for a less interesting vid. i'm a huge fan of yours but it seems you're shying away from big name directors. Everybody wants to see what you can do with the likes of Nolan or Tarantino who have small but exciting filmographies. I wouldn't expect a scorsese or spielberg because they have such a huge list of films. I just wanna see you take a chance on a big name director
@SpaceboundJoker I agree with kees, The Science of Sleep was an amazing movie. And this was an amazing video. And Danny Boyle, Wes Anderson, and Baz Luhrmann are hardly indie directors.
Every time I watch one of your videos I get the chills, I don't know why, but the mix between the sound and the image is always so powerful. Your an excelent editor.
Another amazing tribute! I keep on thinking that i will eventually be disappointed by one of your videos, but you just continually put out these videos with just as much skill and amusement as the last. Truly amazing, and i already cant wait for your next one!
@keesvdijkhuizen I searched for it literally more than 1 hour. I tried almost every phrase that had to do something with ,,acoustic" and ,,Sleepyhead". Then you sais ,,Search Sleepyhead Acoustic!" and ofcourse, suddenly, I found it in a few seconds. Your talent is obviously not just for movies ^^.
I had no idea that three of the most lovely films I have seen (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Be Kind Rewind and The Science of Sleep) were all by the same director. Amazing.
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is my Favorite Movie and I love Michel Gondry. But maybe Hollywood wasn´t the right choice: "The Green Hornet" was lame :(
