The last ime I read my history, I believe it was the British who defeated the French in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and at the Treaty of Paris (1763), the French ceaded New France to the British in exchange for the French West Indies so this makes Quebec is our's (English Speakers) not your's (French Speakers). We have everyright to determin which are to be the Official Languages of Quebec and they are French AND English. If you dont like this then please be free to go back to France.

I have to admit and it shames me to say but I'm really getting sick to death of going to Montreal and looking at the small English print. It really isn't fair. I'm also sick of the construction road signs being only in French. They're important for everyone to know and read.
Hey im french and when i got to ontario and i see english road sign i dont say i isnt fair... Its there province and we got ours with each other's official language.
Well the closer you get to Quebec on the Ontario side the more likely it will be that the signs will be in both languages. The farther away from Quebec this won't be the case and that's not good. What do you think about the English signs being in smaller print? Fair or not Fair?

From 1534 to 1759 Canada was the capital province of New France and was named in such way. The terms canadiens was also used firsts by the frenchs born in Canada.
The Spanish founded Hispanola and called the Island the Colony of Santo Domingo. The French overtime conquered the western half (Haiti) and then the eastern half (Domincan Republic) of the Island and then created the Colony of Saint Domingue. The French founded New France but the British conquered it and created first the Province of Quebec and then Provinces of Upper and Lower Canada and then the Province of Canada and then the Dominion of Canada.
Thoses southern colonies had no governements structures and no infrastructures. Only military forts implemented neither did they send the same ammount of colonists.
In Canada however, when the actual Canada was annexed, it's capital was Québec (the city) and around it evolved many cities and seigneuries along with a decent population, a network of roads, contacts and a large ammount of economic activities far in the land.

The current Province of Quebec was known as Canada when it was a part of New France but when it was conquered by the British most of New France became the first incarnation of the Province of Quebec (1763-1791). The Canada of New France and the current Dominion of Canada may share the same name but they are completly differant. Hell even the modern day Province of Quebec was created in 1867 the same time as the current Dominion of Canada.

Ce qui crée le plus de distance entre les francophones et les anglophones dans la province de Québec, c'est justement les propagandes, les tentatives d'isolation et les idées de violence tranmises par certains plutôt que la compréhension des uns et des autres. Beaucoup d'anglophones seraient prêt à soutenir nos idéaux si ce n'était pas d'une poignée d'imbéciles primitifs qui croient qu'on ne peut régler les conflits que par l'agressivité et qui le font savoir.
Le capitalisme aveugle et la pauvreté sont des bien plus grands enjeux pour notre société. C'est l'argent qui cause les plus grandes distances. C'est la pauvreté et la mauvaise éducation qui est souvent en cause dans la guerre entre les deux antités linguistiques et c'est principalement en raison de l'argent que le Québec ne s'est pas séparé déjà. C'est l'argent qui nuit aux tentatives de traités et c'est l'argent qui crée des gouvernements pourris et inutiles.

The last ime I read my history, I believe it was the British who defeated the French in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and at the Treaty of Paris (1763), the French ceaded New France to the British in exchange for the French West Indies so this makes Quebec is our's (English Speakers) not your's (French Speakers). We have everyright to determin which are to be the Official Languages of Quebec and they are French AND English. If you dont like this then please be free to go back to France.

The British gave you the Quebec Act of 1774 giving you such rights as to Speak French, Attend the Catholic Church and have your own French Civil Laws for Personal Matters. The BNA Act of 1867 states very clearly that both English and French are Co-Official Languages of not only of the Dominion of Canada but also it's Province of Quebec. All Quebec Language Laws are ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Well the closer you get to Quebec on the Ontario side the more likely it will be that the signs will be in both languages. The farther away from Quebec this won't be the case and that's not good. What do you think about the English signs being in smaller print? Fair or not Fair?

Speaking of fair. I think there are far more English people living and visiting Quebec than the reverse. To make a law lowering another language (English) is not only unjust but embarrassing for the nation as a whole.

From 1534 to 1759 Canada was the capital province of New France and was named in such way. The terms canadiens was also used firsts by the frenchs born in Canada.

Thoses southern colonies had no governements structures and no infrastructures. Only military forts implemented neither did they send the same ammount of colonists.
In Canada however, when the actual Canada was annexed, it's capital was Québec (the city) and around it evolved many cities and seigneuries along with a decent population, a network of roads, contacts and a large ammount of economic activities far in the land.
Canada existed as an entity.

The British created the 1st incarnation of Quebec- Province of Quebec (1763-1791), 2nd incarnation of Quebec- Province of Lower Canada (1791-1841), 1st incarnation of Canada- Province of Canada (1841-1867) and yes even the current Dominion of Canada and the Province of Quebec. The French Canadians did not create and make Canada, The British and Anglo-Canadians did.

The current "Dominion" of Canada was created in 1867. The current Province of Quebec was known as Canada when it was a part of New France but when it was conquered by the British most of New France became the first incarnation of the Province of Quebec (1763-1791). The Canada of New France and the current Dominion of Canada may share the same name but they are completly differant. Hell even the modern day Province of Quebec was created in 1867 the same time as the current Dominion of Canada.

Notre société a fait énormément de progrès dans les dernières décénies. Faut être aveugle pour croire qu'on vit encore dans le Québec des années 70.
