First, this project was not supposed to be one of your Vegas style "Implosions" the charges were simply meant to topple it and make it more manageable to take apart. One Bang... Building leans and falls apart.
Second, the engineering company operates based on the explosive "experts" specifications. In other words, two entirely different companies... Engineering and Explosives. The explosives "Expert" tells the engineers how and where to cut for the charges he will place. Figure out the rest.
Your video is AMAZING right down to the sound. What kind of camera catches and conveys the BOOM so well??? I must have one!!! LOLOL. Great Job. Swing over to my profile, I have video from a different angle. No where near the quality of yours though.
@pmedic297 Sony HDR-SR11... works well for a few year old camera. For cameras that were current at the time, the sound was actually not as good as some of the others, but I think it does okay save for the wind noise. I've actually checked out all the other videos on here, all offer a cool perspective, and everyone did a great job! I've watched them all over and over, as though something different will happen! hahaha
...HUGE BOILERS, COAL HOPPERS, GENERATORS ETC. ALL ON UPPER FLOORS. SOME ARE 3 STORIES TALL. NOT POSSIBLE TO "LEVEL" THEM. CONTRACTOR JUST NEEDED THEM ON THE GROUND. DID NOT GO PERFECT BUT THE DANGEROUS/HEAVY MAIN PARTS ARE WORKABLE NOW. HAVE TO PULL DOWN REST BUT NO BIG DEAL REALLY...DIFFICULT WORK IS DONE.
After all of the casino emplosions that we've seen here in Las Vegas, this definitely was an EPIC FAIL! They don't make 'em like they used to that's fa shoa lol
i dont think all of the stuff went off.i just hope the one i set did.

It was a SAC base... So, yes, it was built well. Someone definitely underestimated the construction.

WLBZ reported on their ticker that the heat plant was to be "blown up real good". Apparently not.
