  • You are the resaon I wanted to start playing the UKE! Its going on 14 years now and I still love it! As you can see from ma videos!... "Surf" was the first song I learned! I think surf is the 1st song every1 learns! I still try to imress people with my atempt of "On Fire". I even did a video of no ho paipai on ma youtube!.... Thanks for all your insparation!     Now first of all its been a privilege to listen to you jam session, i even got to participate back in the day when you came down to San Diego.

    You were one of the reasons i also picked up the `ukulele, and many of the players today would likely say something very similar.

    You definitely did it justice to Uncle Eddie Kamae, Aunty Myrna and to the Sunday Manoa (Uncle Peters solo is probably one of the best ever) and you did it beautifully.

  • Very interesting harmonized section in Morning Dew - extremely melodic. Man that SunnyD sounds so crisp with those GHS strings. Love that ending in Pua Lilia - sounds like a 12 string recorded with the ukulele on top. Mahalo for da post! Johnny Pal of MangoDaville
