That's a good thing because for those of you who havn't been following along with the new episodes every thursday, they're not supposed to leave the island. There is a flash-forward in the first episode of the current running season where Jack is back home and tells Kate they weren't supposed to leave the island. So it's good locke has foiled jacks plans for getting off.
