  • With the ignition timing fully retarded, and the slipping dog engagement of the hand crank, there is less chance of a kick back than a motorcycle kick starter. The procedure is exactly as given by RR in the instruction manual. I agree however that anyone not following the procedure exactly can seriously hurt himself. So dont try this at home.
