I think Martha was just a rebound for the Doctor, he was just lonely and needed someone to hang around and bounce jokes off of (hey, traveling through time and space can get lonely). I cried at that scene because Rose never got a chance to hear the Doctor say those four blessed words to her ("I love you, too), and she never got a chance to hear them. It wasn't a secret how much they meant to eachother, but it would have been wonderful to see it come to light at last.
I wish Rose and Ten made it back together they were the best couple, BUT, I will say I hope Billie Piper finishes whatever she is doing currently and returns to the show and becomes Matt's companion, I mean he is the same man in the story, so I am still hopeful!!!! :D

It's almost as if The Doctor was just too sublime for Rose, but we know that is not true at all. Rose could see the past and what could be. Rose saw every atom of the Dalek and "I divide them." Rose looked into the heart of the Tardis and it looked into her.

I think that each time he regenerates the current soul dies and a new one is born within him. @DrummerGirlLolly Yeah, ever since Tennant left, it just hasn't felt quite like Doctor Who. Even in Series 6, it didn't feel... right. Maybe it's because Davies also left, and I find it that he gave it that "Doctor Who" feeling. It could also be the complete lack of cheesy graphics and such.

if you watch on DT video diary I think it is. After filming this scene Billie walks over to David and he grabs her and holds her as she just cries into his shoulder well chest really. He just hugs her and comforts her till she gets over it. It is really quite sweet on his part.
I still say there are only 3 options for Rose's future.
A: She finds a way back to our universe for good and rejoins the Doctor,
B: Copies of the 2 of them are pulled into a third universe where they live as we all know they should (least favorite and least plausible), Or
C: She becomes the first of the New Time Lords in her universe and builds a new TARDIS with latent knowledge and abilities from her exposure to the TARDIS core. (most likely to happen as hinted at by BBC Prod team)

Personally, I feel the companions are much better when they're NOT being offered to us as potential love interests, so that might be why I'm partial to Donna of all the new companions. I'm probably too old, but I really miss the days when the show was about adventure, the days of Leela, Jamie MacCrimmon, Susan, or Sarah Jane (and Harry Sullivan--though a doofus, how cool was he?!).
I loved Rose and the Doctor. Together, they were the best couple ever created on T.V. I just loved what they had together, that made me cry so much, no matter how many times I see it, every single time I start balling my eyes out. Rose was the best companion by far, Martha was the worst. I liked Martha, but she loved the Doctor, and he didn't love her, so they couldn't be together. And then with Donna...well who couldn't love Donna? She was brilliant <3
You can totally tell the Rose was his favorite, because whenever he talks about her, he gets all choked up. Also, in Voyage of the Damned, when he goes to the party, he doesn't even really mention Martha at all. Even when he does, he doesn't look at all sad about it. He does miss Donna, though. I would too :)

Well, he remembers her face, and that he loves her. :D But he forgets the TARDIS and Gallifrey.

@DrummerGirlLolly Yeah, ever since Tennant left, it just hasn't felt quite like Doctor Who. Even in Series 6, it didn't feel... right. Maybe it's because Davies also left, and I find it that he gave it that "Doctor Who" feeling. It could also be the complete lack of cheesy graphics and such.

This is so lovely! After all this time, I still love Rose SO much. Martha was eh, Donna was funny but annoying, I quite like Amy, and I can't stand River (I think my disgust with her goes back to the name thing...which I still haven't figured out, but I'm sure there's a lot more to that story.) Anyway, Rose outshone them all.

Just wanted to ask - and I am only asking you because yours is the latest video I've seen - what do you mean by "No copyright intended"? Everyone seems to put that. First - it should say ,"No copyright infringement intended" and second you have violated copyright whether you intended to or not. That's like robbing a store and then saying, "but I didn't intend to"

if you watch on DT video diary I think it is. After filming this scene Billie walks over to David and he grabs her and holds her as she just cries into his shoulder well chest really. He just hugs her and comforts her till she gets over it. It is really quite sweet on his part.

I still say there are only 3 options for Rose's future.
A: She finds a way back to our universe for good and rejoins the Doctor,
B: Copies of the 2 of them are pulled into a third universe where they live as we all know they should (least favorite and least plausible), Or
C: She becomes the first of the New Time Lords in her universe and builds a new TARDIS with latent knowledge and abilities from her exposure to the TARDIS core. (most likely to happen as hinted at by BBC Prod team)

Personally, I feel the companions are much better when they're NOT being offered to us as potential love interests, so that might be why I'm partial to Donna of all the new companions. I'm probably too old, but I really miss the days when the show was about adventure, the days of Leela, Jamie MacCrimmon, Susan, or Sarah Jane (and Harry Sullivan--though a doofus, how cool was he?!).

I loved Rose and the Doctor. Together, they were the best couple ever created on T.V. I just loved what they had together, that made me cry so much, no matter how many times I see it, every single time I start balling my eyes out. Rose was the best companion by far, Martha was the worst. I liked Martha, but she loved the Doctor, and he didn't love her, so they couldn't be together. And then with Donna...well who couldn't love Donna? She was brilliant <3

You can totally tell the Rose was his favorite, because whenever he talks about her, he gets all choked up. Also, in Voyage of the Damned, when he goes to the party, he doesn't even really mention Martha at all. Even when he does, he doesn't look at all sad about it. He does miss Donna, though. I would too :)

@becca3ff I also love how he doesn't know what the TARDIS is, which is not only his time machine he's traveled with for centuries, but also in many ways a friend, since the TARDIS is a sentient being (at least I _think_ that's canon... correct me if I'm wrong, I read so many fanfics I get confused) yet he remembers Rose. Well, he remembers her face, and that he loves her. :D But he forgets the TARDIS and Gallifrey.

I dunno, the only reason I think it would make him happy is because the he'll know that Rose has actually moved on, like he wants her too, but it would also make him sad. And personally, I don't think that Rose and the Doctor ever... well... you know... 'cause it seemed like a big deal for them to kiss, and I don't think their love was something they ever fully admitted to themselves until the very end

Well said. The Doctor's main concern was her hapiness. Although I don't doubt Rose loved him as much as he did her she was a bit more selfish. That may come from her young(er) age.
But then again, completely selfless love can be annoying. (Ex: Xiao Longnu [Little Dragon Girl] and Yang Guo) -_-

Yeah, you're right. their love was different. I feel that they both really loved each other, but the Doctor's love was more... mature? I dunno if that's the right word, but I think your right that it's their age difference.The Doctor is SO self sacrificing. incredibly self sacrificing, and we see it multiple times, like how he just walks away without even saying goodbye in Journey's End. And I think that shows how much he loves Rose- he's ready to give up all his happiness for her.
