Ich habe mir dein oben genanntes fahrezeug mal näher angeschaut:

Yesterday, i drove 140km/h on the very left side and there is -always- a slower car, that blocks you, as they don't realise youre coming. 160km/h is enough to be the "king" on the left side. Only time you could get in "danger" is when Audi A6/ BMW 5er or Mercedes E are coming. These are ones that will try to push you from the left, as they got few time.
this is not a argument. This law is to cange into our system. American freeways are big huge streets against the european streets. That say the americans themselves.
In my view the real reason is they are to bad to drive with high speed, `cause they have not trained it one time.
The Americans who live here in Germany for long time can it, they are not german freeway tourists.
Therefore I think it is unresponsible by them to drive with such speed onto our freeway!

@fulcram29 ja, da stimme ich dir auch voll und ganz zu, aber eine allgemeine Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung auf deutschen Autobahnen einzuführen halte ich eher für wenig sinnvoll. Ich halte es für sinnvoll in den letzten Fahrstunden auch mal schneller fahren zu dürfen. Die Fahrschule ist ja zum lernen da und da man später einmal evtl. auch mal schneller als Richtgeschwindigkeit fahren muss ist es ganz sinnvoll, dass vorher zu lernen, bzw. es wenigstens mal vorher gemacht zu haben um selber zu sehen, ob man sich das zutraut.
ich finde aber, ihre Fahrlehrerin hat es richtig gemacht.
aber mal im ernst: wer fährt heute noch so, wie er es inner fahrschule gelernt hat? geschwindigkeitsschilder lese ich nur noch als empfehlungen (aus 50 wird 60, aus 130 auffer autobahn wird 140-145 (damit der lappen nicht gleich weg is)

You should visit my country, where many young drivers run with Peugeut 107, Citroen Saxo and Suzuki Swift (the old one) with 200km/h at roads where speed limit is 60km/h because of the unsuitability of the national road...at least, in Germany they have a great circuit...

@edderd8 this seems to be a tuned version of the audi r8 v10. the tuning is made (like the title tells) by ABT, which is a well known tuning company. this should explain why this r8 is a bit faster than the usual one ;)
@razornak you are right! just put it in Vegas editing software, and its clear that in odometer this car run one km (from 983.3 to 984.3 ) in 13.1 sec. Then, 3600sec / 13.1 sec = 275km/h average speed for this 13 sec. But speedometer show average of about 290kmh during this 13 sec. (275-300kmh shown speed) in this youtube video this segment is between about 42sec-56sec.

i hate autobahn-tourists!!! these are the idiots that are causing the most deadliest crashes involving innocent people and KIDS! There is a reason why you have speed-limits because we here in germany have the best driving schools in the world our license cost about 1000-2000 euro depending on your skills and we have to do many hours of training before we can officially hit the streets! and you have to pay 20 Bucks and a testdrive around the block and you got your license... see the difference?

Manche mögen ja sogar gut fahren können, aber was die hohen Geschwindigkeiten angehen, würde ich mich da trotzdem lieber bei einen ins Auto setzen der erst 2 Jahre den Lappen hat, aber dafür schon öfter mals um die 180km/h gefahren ist, als bei einem der 10Jahre den Führerschein hat, aber dafür noch nie mehr als 130km/h gefahren ist..

@lokomotivskiller Echt? Also ich durfte und sollte damals das Auto auch bis 160-180 ausfahren, natürlich nur bei entsprechender Straßenlage. Aber natürlich war das ein normaler Golf TDI und kein Sportwagen.

@lokomotivskiller Dann hatte ich wohl nen besonders coolen Fahrlehrer :). Aber war auch keiner einer Kette, sondern ein kleiner, der zwei Filialien betrieb und als Chef selbst den Fahrunterricht gegeben hat. Der hatte auch richtig coole Überland- und Nachtfahrten an Bodensee (ca. 150km weg von hier) usw..

Meine Fahrlehrerin hat mir gesagt, ich soll mal bis auf 180 beschleunigen, damit ich ein Gefühl für die Geschwindigkeit bekomme.
Ich halte es für sinnvoll in den letzten Fahrstunden auch mal schneller fahren zu dürfen. Die Fahrschule ist ja zum lernen da und da man später einmal evtl. auch mal schneller als Richtgeschwindigkeit fahren muss ist es ganz sinnvoll, dass vorher zu lernen, bzw. es wenigstens mal vorher gemacht zu haben um selber zu sehen, ob man sich das zutraut.

You should visit my country, where many young drivers run with Peugeut 107, Citroen Saxo and Suzuki Swift (the old one) with 200km/h at roads where speed limit is 60km/h because of the unsuitability of the national road...at least, in Germany they have a great circuit...

In 2010 Norway had 208 traffic deaths, that makes 42.4 deaths per million habitants.
Now what had Germany in 2010? As a "death trap" that should be pretty high, perhaps double. Something like 105 perhaps? Well, surprise, thats the traffic death number of the USA.

@hds82 Agreed! And even if you are allowed to drive fast doesn't mean you can drive recklessly. There are some pretty strict rules and lots of unmarked police vehicles patrolling the autobahn to make sure that the rules are obeyed.

If someone runs excessively with their car, it's because he is idiot... he may have been taught how to drive very well but due to their stupidity, they run...all in all it depends on the driver's brain...And i am from Greece, where we have the worst drivers in Europe and the most fatal accidents are here.

@edderd8 this seems to be a tuned version of the audi r8 v10. the tuning is made (like the title tells) by ABT, which is a well known tuning company. this should explain why this r8 is a bit faster than the usual one ;)

@razornak you are right! just put it in Vegas editing software, and its clear that in odometer this car run one km (from 983.3 to 984.3 ) in 13.1 sec. Then, 3600sec / 13.1 sec = 275km/h average speed for this 13 sec. But speedometer show average of about 290kmh during this 13 sec. (275-300kmh shown speed) in this youtube video this segment is between about 42sec-56sec.
