@FavreianVengeance no it's not. The Green party is the libertarian left. They are different than the statist liberal. Political scale goes more up and down than it does left and right. Green party is more up towards liberty and the mainstream democrat is more on the authoritarian(big government) side. The Green party is just a bit more on the left for social issues than most libertarians. I'd vote for a Green party candidate if they got good support.

@FavreianVengeance not everyone looks at 1 issue of difference rather than the numerous issues held in common. Ron Paul endorsed Cynthia McKinney who was the nominee for the Green Party in 2008 for president.
Although I'm not in favor of those programs, I could live with a society that dedicated it's resources to the people much more than one that dedicates it's resources to wars and the taking away of civil liberties. So I'd have no problem voting for them.
