I love your look! I wanna know more. :-D What color eyes do you have? I'm assuming black tank top with a v-neck cardigan. How did you get your hair and makeup like that?
I microwaved both F and BM with no problems... I was never told its not supposed to be zapped??? No way could i be bothered waiting forever for it to warm in water! And neither can baby when theyre hungry.
Yeah well even the nurses in NICU and SCBU microwaved my BM... So if theyre doing it for sick premmies it cant be too bad for it... I mean, when theyre that vulnerable theyre not gunna take that risk, right?
I was wondering if you bottle fed with the bottles you showed on here while you breast fed as well, or did the bottle effect the way your baby latched on once you started using it?
i only used a bottle when i had to leave the baby. the first time i use a bottle is around 6 months. my boys never took to any bottle well, they were very hungry by time i returned!
I know that sounds so dirty.... lol but when you think about it your breast/milk never touch the actual pump which is the most expensive piece. Just replace everything else :)
I have heard that the lilypadz lose their suction after about 2 months. Have you had that problem? Have you read the book The Politics of Breastfeeding? I cried all the way through!
You really are just too cute. I have a question for your next viewer question and answer video. Do you think your done or will you have more kids ( on purpose that is) ? Did you plan all four or were some of them surprises? I really enjoy your videos.
love the lasinoh products!! I have tried many different breast pads and my fav were the johnson ones when Ieaked heavily and now I use the lasinoh ones. I got my nursing bras from JC Penney and they worked out ok I had one break on me the strap that is. But they do bra fit you and that was a plus for me. I have been breastfeeding for nine months and got the bras when I was 36 weeks prego so they are now too big! I have a breastfeeding "series" of vids check me out :)
Love the nursing bra! I have never purchased a nursing bra before. I was wondering when purchasing one now being pregnant... if I should go up a cup size or wait til my milk comes in to see what size I would need?
it is often a good idea to get fitted part way through your pregnancy (because you will probably go up a size or 2 while pregnant) but then you will most likely need to get fitted again later on (and possibly again at some stage, i went through 3 or 4 different sizes)
Did you have to use the nursing pads the entire time you were nursing? My son is 5 months and I don't need them anymore. I didn't know if my milk supply was dwindling or if that's normal...
Thanks for doing all these breastfeeding videos. I only breastfed one of my boys for 4 1/2 months. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my baby girl Due in Feb. I definitely will be giving breastfeeding another try
I use reusable nursing pads from a local cloth diapering shop. I preferred them to the nursing pads that turn into gel. Loved Lansinoh lanolin in the first couple of weeks with both kidlettes. I did prefer my wrap to my sling to nurse in. I had a nursing bracelet for the first couple of weeks with my 1st child, that I liked, but ultimately repurposed. Same pump! WORTH IT if you work, especially.
It is just a beaded bracelet, with 12 numbered beads interspersed among sets of 4 beads. Then, you get another charm bead for marking on your bracelet the last time you fed your baby. You can get another charm that marks how many feedings you have had through the day. It is good for keeping track of that stuff, instead of always having to write it on paper.

How do you store your breastmilk in the freezer? I also use the milk storage bags but cannot find a functional way to store them.

I am currently pregnant with my first child and i plan on breastfeeding. Do you have to have the nursing cover a certain way to let the baby breathe.

I suspect that the possible issue is the killing off of good things (eg enzymes etc) by microwave rays.

U can also get the breast pumps from craigslist/ebay and depending on your income WIC provides them as well.

question for nursing bra size? same as your regular cup or do you go bigger? Thanks
BrownEyedMomifyed 2 years ago
get fitted!! a HUGE percentage of women are in the wrong bra size to start with. I went through a few different sizes when i was nursing too.

The lilypads, once you take them off and are wet, do you need to wash them or are they bad after they get a certain amount of fluid on them?

Oh that's neat! I could've used one of those when my son was first born; I could never remember anything then lol!
