Metal is relatively big here in Finland, but pop music is still much more popular. Perhaps not quite as much as there on the other side of the ocean though. ;)

That might well be. ;) But, don't get the impression we have such karaokes everywhere. The place in this video is closed, and it was the best such place in Helsinki, or perhaps Finland for that matter. A nice stage, pretty good speakers and a good audience.

We don't have that much of religious resistance to metal music. It's still somewhat underground, yet getting more popular by each year.

It's hard to describe "how you do it". You just make enough effort to achieve the vocals you want. Imitate your favourite vocalist's style by singing his music and you'll get better little by little.

Yeah, shows you are not doing it in a good way. =) Try to losen up, don't try too much. Try different ways of achieving the sound you want. Record yourself. Practise once or twice a week, and be sure to give your voice a rest when it asks for it. It'll get easier with time and care.

Fuck dude you're brutal. Your screaming is almost identical to Alexi's vocals back when Bodom played live in Seoul. You even have a similar echo-effect on the microphone. My only complaint is that your voice has no dynamics. Kinda just the same pitch and amount of distortion the whole time.

But nonetheless, awesome job I can't even scream at all heh.

Well, the place in this video is no more (as a host to Hevikaraoke). Helsinki´s Hevikaraoke continues in a bar called Heavy Corner.

The metal bars ain´t that great, although ok. There is music in those lists that´s more like rock, which is a bit annoying sometimes. Death metal like CoB has only a few songs, black metal none. But hey, it´s still sweet from time to time.

Well, there are only a few metal bars in Finland, so.. ;) But that´s because of the demand - there really is quite a few metal heads here, which is something you can tell by the number of bands I guess.

Alexi is more like a loud shouter which is ok. But it´s not the sort of black metal/death metal sound I go for. It´s quite a difference. Anyway, both are good for their own purposes. I have sung lots of black metal and that´s why I sound the way I do.
