Heaven or Hell involve all characters whit the exeption of Slayer (Maybe because he is badass) Slayer never dies in combat, he lay down the floor and look (sometimes no) to the winner whit the face of "mmm...damn" but he never dies.

Have you heard of the expressions , it's a good day to die , they were shouted by warriors in the antiquity but they weren't prepared to die , it was just to put fear into their enemy hearts (a man that is not afraid of dying is one dangerous cookie) anyway the point is that it is simmilar to the expression stated above or this could be a ready set go . no exceptional deep meaning.

Also, Dizzy/Justice's ultimate Overdrive is called Gamma Ray.

Gamma Ray is a german Power Metal band. Look them up.

Guilty gear is made out of references to metal music. Sol is modeled after Frederick "Mr. Badguy" Mercury, the lead singer of Queen. (The creator's favorite band).

@dionisus24 A lot of the names and moves used are references from Rock music or artists. Like Sol, real name Fredrick aka Freddie Mercury who was also known as Mr. Bad guy.
