@bmister50 so 0-60 in 5.6-5.8 seconds compared to 5.0-5.2 makes them garbage? still do 100+ in the 1/4 and were very fast for the time period. cars get upgraded all the time. the LS1 is better but that doesnt mean that the LT1 is garbage. i used to have a 96 T/A. with 60k on it i clocked it to 60 in 5.8 and it was even an auto. they are still very fast for a stock car but are just not a match for the newer ones. you gota remember the LT1 came out in 1992...19 years ago...

I gained .6 with just headers on my v6 camaro, and it keeps up with gt's. its sad really. A better race would be a Mach1 vs a LS1 they are closer than a Termi and a LS1.

No the FASTEST a stock LS1 has went is high 12s. Termi Cobras run high 12s ALL DAY LONG. Some have dipped in the mid 12s EASILY. Again a 03-04 Termi is faster than a new 5.0. A new 5.0 has easily done 12.5 stock. (with 3.73 gears)
And I'd LOVE to see the 12.6 run you are claiming. MOST LS1 Fbodies run low to mid 13s. My point about bringing up the LS1tech forums was even LS1 owners think you are FULL OF CRAP. You tell me I obviously don't hang in forums. Well I do.

@CemetaryGatesML It's not an upgrade per se. In 2002, all z28's had the LS1. Since the Mustang in this clip is a 2002 model GT, that would just make it a fair race. SVT would race against the SS.

yes you probably can beat an SVT in a drag, provided you as the driver out perform the other driver. but in a Perfect world, thats SVT is actually faster, not by much... but enough to win.

you can obviously tell that the camaro was spinning at the launch and when he finally gripped, he started to pick up the pace. he didnt lose because he has an LT1. dont like it when people say that. LT1's are underestimated. they are great motor. mustang won because he got the better launch and/or the camaro isnt a pro with a 6 speed. and did anyone pick up when mustangs gf said camaro was gonna get spanked and yet at the end she said he was right on his ass? haha ironic.

You are the one that just quoted from fast and furious...if they are ahead by and inch they will win...if they cheat and get half a car length on the other guy and its a drivers race then they will f*cking win. In this instance the camaro should have won, but it comes down alot to the driver, tires, weight, and fuel in the cars. If you wanna brag about how fast your mustang is line it up against at a track so when u red light you lose.

A LS1 Fbody averages between a 13.2 and a 13.6 in the 1/4. A 03/04 termi averages between a 12.5 and a 12.9 THAT'S The difference. There is a reason why it was called a "Terminator" because it terminated the comp at the time. You have NO CLUE what you are talking about. LOL Termis having high gears!
A better race would be a Mach1 vs a LS1 they are closer than a Termi and a LS1.

Again plain and simple. A stock LS1 vs a stock Termi = LS1 losing BIG TIME when there are two equal drivers racing.
The cars weight about the same, same gearing, both 6spds, and the Termi has over 100rwhp more than the LS1.
They are faster than the current 5.0 GTs that are out.
Take a termi and put a pully swap on it and even a cammed LS1 is going to have problems with it.
I spend A LOT of time on LS1tech. I'm a fan of the Camaro. Not a basher. Just keeping it real.

And how does a Termi vs LS1 6 speed = ls losing big time?! They are both high to mid 12 cars with good drivers! The best time in a bone stock 4th Gen LS1 Camaro 6 speed is a 12.6! I don't know what the best Bone stock time is for a Terminator but I know it's not anywhere past a low 12! That's not much dude!

No the FASTEST a stock LS1 has went is high 12s. Termi Cobras run high 12s ALL DAY LONG. Some have dipped in the mid 12s EASILY. Again a 03-04 Termi is faster than a new 5.0. A new 5.0 has easily done 12.5 stock. (with 3.73 gears)
And I'd LOVE to see the 12.6 run you are claiming. MOST LS1 Fbodies run low to mid 13s. My point about bringing up the LS1tech forums was even LS1 owners think you are FULL OF CRAP. You tell me I obviously don't hang in forums. Well I do.

Search fastest stock LS1 Camaro 1/4 and there is a guy that runs a 12.6! I have run a 12.89 in my Camaro myself when I raced the two Terminators and I ran a 12.92 when I raced the 5.0!
