I see you've had a visit from the "Ragtime Police" about your playing. I would suggest you ignore them and carry on doing exactly what you're already doing which is very pleasant to listen to.
@PianoFatso I agree. Joplin generally did not put a tempo indication on his compositions. I think whether it's fast or slow - as long as it is musically pleasing is all that matters. Imagine how boring the world would be if everyone played this piece at 72bpm, or Maple Leaf Rag at 120.. :-)
not bad, but play it a little slower, between 65 and 72 bpm. Joplin wrote this piece for his first wife, its a slow intermezzo. sounds like youre having difficulty in the c minor section a little. keep practicing, and youll have it good
lol i was just amazed how he was staring at the paper:P i can play it without sheets now=P
ah well im hearing some mistakes, and rythm is not that static as it should be..
so my advice for the pianist playin here: go and learn this song to play better;-) if you know it to play without sheets, it is a lot easier to play it without mistakes and rythm changes;)
Can we get the piano tuned a bit better and give it a new set of hammers, or at least voice the existing ones? Such a good performance needs an instrument in better shape.
Poor Freddie....

You should try to play Easy Winners, The Entertainer or Maple Leaf Rag. All great songs of Joplin !
