You can have a black solid, then make a red solid on top of it. Then you use the ellipse tool which will make a oval type shape of the red solid over the black one. Then under Mask 1 you go to mask feather and feather it out as much as you want to.

I have to disagree. I like the "african jew wearing a hoodie" part of the video, and how the text is arranged around the "OK" and then is covered by the no. Good use of colors and composition. It keeps well with the beat of the soundclip too.
