Also, you should try and find a way to replace ALL the sounds. Then get scripts or something to take away all specials, tanks, and witches. Then change the characters to the ones from 28 days later. (Bill could be the guy who woke up in the hospital, francis could be the guy that saved him, and zoey could be the girl that saved him. I dont know about Louis though) then try to find sounds from the game to replace as well... all put together... 28 DAYS LATER THE GAME! :D

The background music etc won't work for addon campaigns, since they don't have any background music at all usually, however the tank music, death music, rescue vehicle music etc will all stay the same, those things will work in addon campaigns :)

There should be a readme file within the downloaded zip file. Anyway you have to extract it to your left 4 dead folder, and let it overwrite everything. Mostly that folder is something like c program files steam steamapps commen left 4 dead ;)

But I have to say that sometimes the music abruptly ends (for example, once you die, the music plays for a while but then stops randomly), I guess the soundtrack from the movie doesn't fit perfectly with the game, oh well

The thing I absolutely love about this soundpack is how it completely recreates your L4D experience, especially for the tank and witch music. You almost always want to attack the witch because of the great song choice, and you can be so enticed by it that you loose track of a smoker or a hunter to the side. Even a common infected coming out of nowhere can scare you when I previously couldn't because you're focused on the witch. I would absolutely love to see a version of this in Left 4 Dead 2.

Jer9-Carver and me both pre-ordered left 4 dead 2. I've been looking around a bit in the folder, and we cán also make one for left 4 dead 2. I'm just not so sure it would fit together so well, because I think left 4 dead 1 looks more like 28 days/weeks later than left 4 dead 2. But thanks for letting us know people want this mod for l4d2 too :) I'll ad an annonation to this vid, if more people want us to make one we'll consider doing that ^^

hey dude when i download this mod off left4deadmods, the file is only 1.2kb? i've already tried downloading 3 times and it only downloads that much. I really want this mod, is there a mirror where this is located at?

You have to open the file you've downloaded, there should be a txt file in there containing the download link to the soundmod. This is because my internet browser kept timing out when I tried to upload it to l4dmods, so I uploaded it to another site. Just copy/paste the download link from the txt file to your browser and go ahead ^^

downloaded it and it fits perfectly. The music gives it a more creepier atmosphere, something that the original L4D soundtrack doesn't have. Good job! I'll vote yes for a 28 days/weeks sound mod for L4D2 but i dont think it'll fit in so well with L4D2 but give it a try, you never know it might turn out good ;)

Yeah it sure is! We spent days trying to get the exact right loop music, because you only have like 4 seconds before the music loops. We took the tunnel sound, and some other sounds, sped them up so that they'd fit into our 4 seconds, and even had a test run with them. It was awesome, but the quality was too poor to actually release it with the mod. We're still trying to find any other ways of doing this, without having to create a whole new mod!

I guess you haven't seen the movies ^^ This mod is not to give you amazing music, but to give you the feelings that you had when you watched the movie :P In the movie you hear this song when they go shopping in an empty store, it gives them time to relax and enjoy the time spending there, that is pretty much the same function of the saferoom

Hi Ribeiralves, we've heard some complaints about that they didn't found saferoom music fit in with the rest of the soundtrack. that's why we've created an alternative version for it. you can find a preview vid of it on my account or in the L4Dmods thread.

you can also download the version from the thread. I hope you like that version more:)

I watched this movie not too long ago and loved everything about it, including the music. Its amazing how similar L4D and 28 Days Later are as well.

L4D and 28 Days Later indeed look very similar, that's why we concluded that the game would have many more intense moments when you would replace the music with the music from the movie :) If you have any problems with corrupted music files as the people down here, you should re-comment to this video with which songs are corrupted, and I'll upload them again so you can put them in there manually :)

I think you're having the same problem as DaWardenXP, in the beginning of each campaign you have some sort of 'start music'. We can't remove it, so you'll just have to wait till it's over, and after that our mod music will start. Though in the second chapter of the campaign our music should start playing right away ;)

That was the song from the credits. The song you are playing at the game credits is from the last scene, not the credits.

Glad you liked it :) appearantly there are some errors with the tank music, and some bugs. At the moment Jer9-Carver and me are getting ideas for a v2.0. That one will probably also have horde music, and a few improvements

yea i know one error i can't figure out.after a while of having this Sound Pack download, the tank music returns to default automatically, Can u tell me how to fix? O in btw some files in the Sound Pack will not play all the way and there is a way to fix that.type this down it the console(snd_rebuildaudiocache) It will load all the sounds of the game so u have to wait at least 10 min for it to be done... And there u go,o and if u don't know how to enable the console then figure out yourself ^^

well the error am talking about is about the tank music.....and yes and does go back to original. I tried to re download it over and over again (cause its a great sound pack ^^) but it stays the same...and in the first level of every campaign it does the default music for when your in the safe room, but when in the second level of any campaign it plays your music. Think you can do anything to fix that?

I have no idea how the tank music could change back all by itself.. maybe we should try to upload only the tank music so you can download it as an mp3 file, and put it in the folders manually?

The project kinda died after releasing v1.4, but we are still wanting to improve it when we get new information, just like the snd_rebuildaudiocache you told us :) In the first map our music starts to play after the official music, but we're going to give a look at it ;) Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Awesome pack but I have a few errors

The tank music has a high pitched tone and the rescue vehicle music doesn't play other than that the rest are fine.

since you're the only one with these errors (it's been downloaded like 200 times without those errors your describe) I think you might either redownload the pack because some file got corrupted or something, or you may want to look up the files in your Left 4 Dead main map, and see if the sounds are like that too, the tank music should be in steam, steamapps, common, left 4 dead, left4dead, sound, music, tank. You might also want to turn the music volume a bit down in your sound options ;)

its great but Im having trouble with the music it wont play any music during campaigns..The only music that plays are the title music, tank, witch and end themes.

I think I know what your problem is, I think you mean that the background music in the campaigns won't play immediatly when you start playing a campaign, That's because L4D has a standard track too. First you hear that track, and after that track the custom 28 days later track begins. I think the original track is like.. 1 minute or something, and after that (so when you're in the middle of the campaign or something) the 28 days later track begins
