hey im wondering if you could provide me with some info on plitvice national park? how touristy is the park exactly? do you know if there are any camping restrictions here? in other words would i be able to camp here without being disturbed much? thanks.

The park was not very busy with tourists when I was there but that was in April 2006 so it could have changed by now. I dont know if you can camp there but the park staff were very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of german tourists who were using campervans in the car park near the gates to the park so it seems that would be ok.

@mcchuff Check Plitvice's website for information, you can send e-mail inquiry if you want. As for camping - it's strictly forbidden all over Croatia unless it's on the designated camping grounds, and Plitvice is a national park, so that doubles the "forbidden" part. I think there is a camp nearby, though.

@mcchuff Camping is not allowed in the lake area, or they would have turned to shit by now. Camping is available away from the lakes. Google Plitvice camping

Your'e gonna love it...Fantastic place...just wish there was more wildlife there. The hunting scumbags have killed most of it...but it is a great place...

nice video dude and nice camera, can you tell me what s that model or specifications, where did you buy it or something like that? what zoom do you need so you can zoom in from such long distance? friendly suggestion, you should compress movie so it opens faster and to more ppl can see it. i was on this place and made video clip too and it s really wonderful lake. i didnt have camera like you but i give me best. :) take a look, greetings!

Hi. Thanks for the comments and the advice. The camera is Canon XM2, Mini DV. You can get the spec from various websites. Have a look on google, just type in Canon XM2. Its a great camcoreder. Regards
