I miss the motherland, and i look to the day when i can go and make it HOME again....PROUD TO BE ZIMBABWEAN...thumbs up if you are proud too no matter what happens or what has happened!!!

Born there but was brought to the states as a baby in the late sixties. I have always wanted to go home. No matter how screwed up it is now.. or that Rhodesia is now Zimbabwe.. its still where I was born and it will always be home.
@raoulmbabazi, No, you just took the country & turned it from a prosperous nation into one big ghetto so that everyone now lives like cr*p unless you are one of mugape's inner circle who lives well off the suffering of others.
Also, the land belonged to the SAN - you bantu moved down from the north & stole the land from them, so you cannot claim any moral high ground here.
if there is a paradise its karibe if theres a garden of eden it kariba nothing can beat it nothing has or ever will home sweet home forever and ever. zimbabwe will always be in my heart as my birth place and my home.
no more white people in zimbabwe. No more ghetto life while a white person has a big surbub. now we can get the education we want. Nore more Ian Smith's times. those times were hard for us black people. but we can make our land that we deserve. the land belonged to our forefathers and we fought hard for it from the oppressors. down with oppression.
Stunning footage, editing and vision mixing perfect - thanks so much! YES, THE VALLEY OF ZAMBEZI was my home - will again be my home - with the call of the Fish Eagle. Truly one unique Rhodesian Nation - a Nation that cannot be duplicated - a land belonging to God! Thanks again Guyandjeremy!
Thanks again for this! We are in the midst of a "Mashonaland " heat wave here in Vancouver, and I'm missing m' old favorite places in our dear old Rhodesia.
Wish youtube had spell check. Hats of too all Zimbabweans for putting their lives on the line. Good thing about Zimbabwe is that Mugabe can not destroy Victoria Falls, Lake Kariba, Zambezi Valley. With all the starvation going on i imagine the prolific wildlife has taken a beating with poaching. Hang in there, Mugabe can't live forever.
Great great song, spectacular photo's. In some trouble right now. How could the world let the communists take over. Anyone has to think just for a moment, has communism ever worked. I take my hat to all the Black and white Zimbaweans, formerly Rhodesians for putting theif lives on the line fighting off the Communist Invasion of Mugabe and Nkomo. The world let you down when they cut off your arms shipments. Was a jewel and can be one again. little bit of corruption free Democracy would help.
One day we will all return from all the corners of this earth and with abundant knowledge we shall rebuild our country back to its former glory and greater. That is the hope I hold in my heart for all our people. May the sun shine once more on our beautiful country. Thanks for the great memories that you brought back with this video clip.
It was the most beautiful country in the world!!! It is not my birth country. I lived there only 5 years but i will never forget it. I would say this is my home!
this song brings tears to my eyes... not old enough to say Rhodesia was beautiful.. but Zimbabwe, was once the best place i ever lived.. if i had the chance to go back home i would.
i say guyandjeremy a touching video wot? and jolly good visuals too. such beautiful lyrics....thanks so much for that it brought tears to m'eyes, 'the wind... bringing the smell of rain'. I'll dream of home tonight, my Rhodesia.

the song just man me cry and thanks alot you got me dreaming of "home" to every one out there that wants to go back home don't it will change your memories! im so homesick no it brings memories back thank you so much
I forget sometimes how privileged we were to be among such beauty and the majestic animals. The feeling of being close to God like that last scene- those two people sitting on the lake side enjoying the sunset - man that is awesome. Yeah Zimbabwe may be in a mess but we will carry the pride of being a Zimbabwean forever. That poor country has been ruined - - think of the people left behind suffering under that idiot. Great video and a honour to our home.
I cried when I saw this. I could smell the dust and rain of the Zambezi valley where I worked at Chikwenya for Brian Worsley. I am sadly now in UK feeling very homesick longing for home. I was wondering if you had contact details for Brian?
Bud can you help me i am looking for the record we had as youngsters,,,,,,called 'agh please daddy'. would you hav ea copy to place on here for us to listen to, words and all.
thank you very much for the wonderful memories i felt for a while i was back in Zim .I would like to say although Zim is our land some of us wee not fortunate to visit most of the places shown on the slides we were not that well up so coming in the Disapora was a break thru coz we couldnot affordd boarding fees let alone go to vic falls.

Economy is trashed but the country is still beautiful however the game is getting very sparce thanks to the government using the game to feed the diamind miners in Congo.
Bud thank you for a lovely song, a song of our past, a song of the land we all loved so much, no matter where we are now. even though we move on in our lives and adapt we all belong to a land of honour, love, friendship, brother/sisterhood. These come with us as we travel through life, even in our new dimensions. THANK YOU for a video of respect, beauty and memories. Very pretty, nicely done - but not remotely representative of my memories of the country I grew up in. We were not amongst the privileged Zimbabwean whites who got to see all those lovely touristy things - which could, quite honestly, be anywhere in Africa. Rhodesia to me means nothing more now than a memory of friends and a great childhood. I'm an Aussie. THIS is my home.
Absolutely gorgeous. Haven't been home since we left and to be honest this is the only thing that has made me feel homesick. Amazing person whoever made this. Highlighting all the good aspects for everyone to remember. Good on you
Do we love our "teapot-shaped" country (not going to get anyones 'sensibilities' in a tizz by using either the R or Z word) yes we do, finished. Now look at what's happening, & not just now, but since the green berets hit Matabeleland in the 80's, do we like that? No, so what are we going to do about it, apart from lament about the suffering that we are going through? Think people, think, & then stop thinking & do.
Please guys - get a grip, depending upon ones age & when one left our home, or whether we're still here. We call ourselves Zimbos, Rhodies, whatever, does it make a difference, we're all the same - regardless what the latest name on the map is. Is the name important? No - focus on something that's important - not nitty gritty nothingness.
Do yourself a favour, I might not be able to spell, but look under the adds here on Rhodesia and look at the one that shows it as it was just a mere 30 years ago, compared to now, look at all, ALL, the people on the streets and you can see what that Buffoon has done to this place, Zimbabwe Ruins has just got a whole lot bigger and read a Book written by a Black guy from Nigeria call the " Capitalist Nigger" and it will shock you
Thank you very much Bud. Precious memories and yearnings, stored in my heart, of the half a century, I was priviledged to have lived in the country I call my home.
