  • Incredible tone, best amps out there for sure !

  • Can you hook me up with the EQ settings on ch. 2?

  • think it sounds best with the 6L6es! :)

  • @BlueShirt7 Mine came with all 6L6s and it was a muddy mess. I tried a ton of different tube combinations before i settled on the 4 EL34 and 2 6550s, they sounded best by far to my ears.

  • @killertonetexas ok. hm . have you played it through the marshall cab back then? Because Marshall cabs to cut the low end. I tried it with the Diezel rear loaded and it had even more low end than the oversized recto-cab. :)

But your combination is very interesting! I love the 6550s. maybe I'm gonna stock it with 4 6L6s and 2 6550s. :)

    Thanks for the idea!

  • I love the tone.. wow, I thought Mesa Boogie is already the most expensive amp. Impressive

  • @moronslave

    Google: Dumble

  • I love the tone.. wow, I though Mesa Boogie is the most expensive. Impressive

  • I got a Diezel Herbert a few weeks ago. When at loud volumes, this is the most brutal amp I've ever heard. It is like a fucking bull for riffing.

I cannot get a good solo tone with the stock EL34s, Seymour Duncan Blackouts, and Vintage 30s. The pick attack is a little bit ice-picky. I'm thinking that some 6L6s in the power section will smooth this out. At low volumes, I experience no ice-picking during the solos.

  • @squirttilithurts

I get a better lead tone with EMG 81s right now. But EMGs don't have cleans as good as the Blackouts.

This amp is the GOLD STANDARD in metal amps. To hear this thing in person at loud volumes is an orgasm for your fucking ears. It is intensely pleasurable.

  • @squirttilithurts Try KT77s and KT88s from Eurotubes. I have an Einstein and I was having the same problem with every EL34 I have tried. The low end got mushy and the highs were harsh and strings felt really tight through the amp once the tubes started cooking. E34Ls were a step in the right direction but KT77s were problem solved. The lows are huge like 6L6s and the mids are nice and aggressive but smooth, same with highs. Tone-wise, KT88s are like a HUGE KT77!

    6L6 are too bland, dude.

  • Easy with the pinch harmonics 0:35

  • Wow!!!!! Sound Awsome!!!

  • How do you feel about the Herbert vs the Fortin Hulk Modded Marshall?

  • @toddf007 Pretty different amps really...but my personal thing is an ultra tight, surgically tight low end and my Fortin wins hands down there.

  • Hey man, quick question. What kinda pre amp tubes and power tubes are you using in your herbert?

  • marc seal?

  • sounds amazing

  • Man.....words can't express how great the Herbert sounds. I love mine! I moved up to it from an Einstein. Great demo! Nicely done!

  • MONSTER AMP!!!!!

  • ;_; wish i could afford it lol... amazing amp

  • Great demo, man. I think it reflects the amp pretty well.

  • Cool vid, thanks for that. How about the clean channel?

  • @Pirre1981 whats a clean channel?
