  • Black people can't demand to be treated equal while expecting special favors and privileges for themselves.

  • Exactly and that's what David Almasi of Project 21 wrote.

  • Comment removed

  • @locksmithite That is true, but maybe there are special privileges being asked for because we are still not treated equal. So, the special privileges actually is making up for the not being treated equal part.

  • @tara30792 What do you mean you're still not treated equal? I'm a white male. You tell me what rights I have that you don't have. Name one.

  • @locksmithite The right to WHITE PRIVILEGE. Even though you may see it that way because it doesn't affect us directly, white privilege is still there. Also, minority communities are targeted with everything much more expensive and the least help from the government. And most minorities have HMO's thinking that they are covered and are receiving full care service when it's just make believe and there are many tests that are lacking in our packages. This was not directed to you, but to the...

  • @tara30792 If you were your great grandmother, I'd agree with you about white privilege. But today it's just an excuse for black failure. Are you forgetting the hundreds of thousands of whites who marched in your behalf in the 60's or the TRILLIONS of dollars spent on the black community over the past 40 years? White people are tired of being every minority groups' scapegoat and black people need to stop with this victimhood mentality. I'm not trying to offend you, I'm telling it like it is.

  • @locksmithite I'll let you believe white privilege doesn't exist anymore. That's the problem, the ones like you who still don't see it. I'm really tired of having this conversation with you now, because writing online is not an easy way to help you see through all of the maybelline. I know what I am talking about, because I still experience it here in school. LIKE I SAID, if your were in my shoes, you could see clearer and understand. And if you want to go back on history, the labyrinth still...

  • @locksmithite ...exists and it is a factor of why Blacks have the mindset some of us have today, and it is not something that can happen overnight to get rid of. This is not just a money thing you material-minded person, it's psychological. And everyday, we ourselves are trying to help our own Blacks understand there is a better way through life and we have to stop being in that discouraged mindset that was enforced on us by white history and we are strong enough to overcome the LABYRINTH.

  • @locksmithite I understand that there are white people who support Blacks in many different ways, but you have to understand that we as a whole are not like that, and we are trying to escape the discouraged mentality. I, myself, am one who try to end the belief you are addressing, but deep down, it is the truth. Reality and the white supporters are the only reasons why we must move on and try to forget the past. And, I don't have to be my great grandmother to see white privilege.

  • @locksmithite ...My grandmother is in her 60s, and she definitely have been through the revolutionary riots. And speaking of white privilege, is it not true that the death penalty is more used on Blacks than whites? And is it not true that Blacks' punishment of killing or hurting a white person is most likely to be worse than a white person killing a Black person?

  • @locksmithite ...Also, there are the setbacks that Blacks face that cause Blacks to act the way we do. Because there was so much hatred towards Blacks, it caused anger in our hearts. And anger is a true distraction to moving forward. There is so much more to say, but I do not feel like continuing to use my time to someone who doesn't take in the information that I provide, and I have to finish my paper and study for a final. I am one who is trying to move forward, but I am sad that there...

  • @locksmithite ...are so many of my people who are not as strong as I am.

  • @locksmithite ...United States in general.

  • @tara30792 What kinda answer is that? Let me ask again. What does the government or the law permit me to do but forbids you to do?

  • @locksmithite Nevermind. Your mind is not open enough to understand anything deeper than what's right in front of your face. Maybe if you were in our shoes, you could look deeper than you want.

  • @tara30792 Allow me to correct you. You want me to have a CLOSED mind meaning ignore the facts and realities and just agree with what you say and keep my mouth shut.

  • The caveat is that you'll have to get the vaccine in order to get the grant, I bet.

  • White People are no the minority! =)

  • i want to fuck you i am 9 in

  • another thing they need are programs for smart people in poverty from ages 2 on up... my daughter needs challenges or things are tough, she is happier when she learns something new daily... but she is not confident so if they have programs to help those kids who like learning (for fun, I never force it) but need confidence/guidance in it then why not offer help for that? just don't go by color/gender... what you are has nothing to do with what you have. or it should not rather...

  • for people going to school I would say grades are not everything... I did not try when I was younger because of my home life, I am older and moved out and have a family... I am very smart, and I want to apply myself... too many strong points for myself... if they just go on previous grades they may skip a lot who can do great.

  • I don't like prejeduce... they should just have grants based on income and expenses... so you take the income minus all expenses (including insurances!) and they can judge from there what you need.

  • As a european, I don't get the problem. It is actually very fair what obama is doing. minorities often have more problems gettin loans, have more financial problems and so on...also in europe. This is why we help minorities with extra care in europe since early childhood. and still not enough minorities make it to the university.

The smartest doctor? good overall grades are not needed to be a good doctor. there is a lot more to it...People are already divided in the us, not because of such laws

  • Well the problem is that it isn't fair. Nobody deserves any thing based on being a minority. I see you're from belgium too. Here in belgium we pay way to much towards minorities. Like you said the effect is very small and the majority is getting pissed over huge tax pressure. Also the problems of getting loans and financial problems are often dealt with better by decreasing the special attention of minorities, not increasing. It won't take very long before we decrease support of minorities too.

  • The minorities need extra support because of social economic problems. In education they often have need of extra attention (meaning funds) to help them because of language difficulties and so on. Of course the right wing parties are against that because they claim (falsely) the 'our' kids don't get help anymore. Which simply isn't true. financial problems won't get better by cutting of people.we are in a financial crisis that has got nothing to do with that.

  • I don't agree with that. By cutting people off, you force them to adapt and bring them in a better position to maintain themselves. Ofcourse you do this step by step instead of overnight. But now we're like parents taking care of children and iff we want those children(minorities) to be independent someday, we'll have to stop holding their hand at everything they do. About the language problem, same deal, less care is forcing them to put more effort in learning it. --> see part 2

  • part 2: I invite you to come take a look at the university. A lot of foreigners there where born in belgium, are now around the age of 21 and have problems to speak dutch. No wonder, in class they speak arab most of the time and so do they in their spare time, no-one pressures them to learn it. You can invest as much as you want, iff you support them and don't force them to learn dutch, they will never be able to complete a master-bachelor degree at any dutch speaking university.

  • part 3: and about the right wing parties. That's only one party that does that. Other right wing parties have other arguments which I, my co-students, and the majority of the voters(looking at last election) support. For example: the idea that the government should hire a certain amount of minorities. I find that incredible retarded. Our nation got to be whealty because we supported the idea of the BEST man for the position. By hiring people based on origin, you don't end up with the best.

  • Very dangerous to say that if the majority votes conservative, that this automatically means they agree with everything certain conservative elements say. And if you take belgium as a whole and not just the dutch part of belgium where there are more then enough nutjobs willing to have a secession from the federal state, we see that the center party: christian democrats, the greens and the socialist party are the largest. It isn't just one party: LDD is just as bad as VB

  • Well most of them do, A lot of right wing voters choose to vote for Vlaams Belang, knowing the cordon sanitaire will get their vote ignored. You can be certain they support that opinion and they're bigger then the largest flemish left wing party. You say LDD is just as bad, so they must support it too. I voted NVA last election, so did my friends, I know they support those ideas. I live in a small village where 60% votes CD&V, I know the majority supports it. and I guess VLD as liberals do too

  • When also considering walloon parties. MR + VLD is still bigger than ecolo + groen. Groen was small to begin with and even decreased last election. Besides you can't really take those elections seriously. The PS has the most exposed cases of fraud and corruption of the entire european union( more then former soviet states) and they're the biggest walloon party. Iff being the EU's most corrupt party gets you to win the election, then I can assume the walloon voters take politics as a joke.

  • I see, so because there were some political scandals and the french speakers voted for them instead of the MR (those crackpots that like to screw around with fantasies about tax reductions), then it must be because these people aren't serious about politics...right. I read both the french and dutch press and the german. the walloons know what they are doing

  • small villages don't reflect the broader public opinion. and whether the public opinion agrees or not, doesn't mean that it is right, correct or moral. if tomorrow the majority wants the death penalty back: it would still be against human rights period.

  • No but it has been a fact, that the villages where I live in, are the base of the CD&V. Big cities like Antwerp and gent have always had a big socialist voters concentration. Trust me I know what the majority of the CD&V voters wants. Besides who are you to say what's moral or not. I know my friends at the university and their parents( the higher educated) vote for right wing ideas and so did the majority of the people last election. You left wingers have a lot of courage stating both are wrong

  • I don't see what's wrong with death penalty. I see you're an animal rights activist. I suggest you start remembering we're animals too. We're not god's chosen creatures. All animals kill to remove threats and to maintain the safety of the pack. We're not different from animals, we have the urge to take the life of those who are a threat to our society. It's our natural instinct, almost every human fears death more then captivity, so iff we want to scare off criminals, death penalty is the tool

  • the evidence shows the opposite actually...just look at the US even

  • I am talking about children of only a few years old that haven't mastered either the mother tongue of their homecountry or dutch. they do need extra attention (means money) to learn more and help them get a real shot at life. Just cutting them of doesn't do those children any good. That is just a form of populism as far as I am concerned.

  • We don't hold their hand: we simply help them a bit. If they start lower in society then the rest, most of them will stay there. There is more then enough research backing that up. Their children will also start 'lower' in society with less changes and most of them will stay there as well...we see the same problem in paris as well and everywhere else. And poverty is a generational problem. people aren't poor because they are 'lazy' or because they got help.

  • You can also ask the question. With the majority voting right wing, do people want to pay for this helping them out? I personally don't. I know my friends and their parents don't. Almost every one I know doesn't want to do it. Besides there aren't any real good arguments to do it. Iff it was up to me, major cuts in the health expenses, social welfare would be made, so we can reduce the amount of taxes.

  • the majority of the right wing also benifit from our health care system. Everybody I know that went through surgery is glad that this exists. otherwise they were to pay up millions. It is easy being a populist but sooner or later almost everybody gets a wake up call. there are no good arguments to leave people out in the cold without protection or help. That is immoral

  • I don't say people wouldn't join the healthcare system if it wasn't mandatory. But people have the right to make a choice. Most people have no criminal record, they haven't commited a crime and thus don't deserve this limited liberty. Whether it is taking away your freedom of movement( = prison) or the right to spend the money you worked for, the way you want, both are restrictments you shouldn't get with iff you haven't commited any crimes. One should be able to choose wether to join or not

  • so you are against taxes and a libertarian I take it?

  • me, i'm pro death penalty, pro mandatory military service, anti labour unions, pro animal rights(hey something in common), against speed limits, pro capitalist, not against taxes( I want them to be spent on public services in the economic definition tho), I'm pro convicting 14+ als adults. I'm against drama and extravagant stuff like the gay parade( act normal, you're gay so what, doesn't mean I want to see you dancing half naked in the street).and much more. You decide what that makes of me

  • about no arguments to leave people out in the cold??? That's called survival of the fittest. Nature is cruel, that's a fact. Unpleasant but a fact. Every animal (including humans) lives to survive. The weaker ones will always get eridicated so that they can't breed, meaning less bad genes and more good genes in the total population, giving the next generations who don't get affected by the presence of bad genen among the pack, more chance to survive against threats

  • Society has nothing to do with nature, and survival of the fittests has nothing to do with the strongest in darwinian tract. only in new darwinian tracts that has not much to do anymore with science. And your position isn't a conservative position...but something very different. Oh in darwinism: survival of the fittest means those that can adapt enough to succesfully reproduce and that's it. not the strongest ...

  • I know that fittest isn't the strongest, but the abillity to adapt. But that also means the abillity to do whatever is needed to become wanted by society. When you're needed/wanted, you'll get a respectable position in a good income, which in our society results in bigger chances to reproduct(as women are more attracted to rich and respected men than bums). I consider myself conservative, because i'm willing to weaken my demands and allow mutual health care, just not extreme as it is now.

  • This isn't fair at all and many people are going to be pissed over this. This is double standards and we are talking about health care. We need the smartest individuals. How can overall grades not be needed to be a good doctor? This makes no sense. Testing is of the most essence. Those grants should be given to individuals who demonstrate this.

  • White privilidge is when someone is granted an easier ride because they are white. If you have been the beneficiary of white privilidge(evidenced by the high ratings on a crappy video like this) why are you opposed to Blacks being privilidged to get an easier ride because they are Black. If you can get a handout(perfect rating on crappy video) why cant a Black person?Im not for handouts but Im against onesided hypocrissy

  • We aren't talking videos, we are talking about people's lives. Stop being lazy and work your ass off if you want to get accepted into medical college. I didn't have a free ride in college. I studied hard and so did every other white person. You know it's called loans that we take out. That means we have to pay them back. So, if you want to be treated equal than start acting like you are equal.

  • Equal? are you fucking crazy? I dont want to be white? stop thinkin every black person in America got 'catchin up to white people' on their mind. My comment was directed at your hypocrissy , it just so happens you express your hypocrissy in racial generalizations. I want to expose you as a hypocrite not take your spot in college. if you were not hypocritical in your judgement , I would wish you well and perhaps sympathize with your situation and maybe even consider it as revderse discrimination.

  • You might have a problem with me because I'm white, however, just follow the web address I provided. This article was written by Project 21, and they are African American.

  • Hey! I don't care much for this plan, I don't care much for how our country is being led, and I don't care much for how we're going to pay for all of this. I don't usually talk a lot of politics on Youtube...but honestly, I miss George W. Bush. I know all about this "equality"...i've dealt with this before myself a bit but my main issue with this plan is the $. I like Mr. Obama, but not big on how we're going to pay for this. Time to raise taxes...oh fucking hell. Like your necklace!

  • i hope u get rape someday u white bitch

  • We're all moving towards socialism everyday!!

    gr8 vid

    uriah

  • Not looking good for us obviously. They are passing too many bills that we do NOT know about that doesn't benefit us. People should've known this before Obama became president. He is just the tip of the ice bearg when it comes to enforcing these laws.

  • You looks great there. WHOA! cleavage exposure! O__o;

  • This is nonsense. It is high time to have the best person for the job doing the work.

In this day and age there are plenty of grants and student loans available so that anyone who wants to do the work to educate themself can get an education.

It is time to stop racial profiling and preference and let whoever wants to do the work and who has the talent be the one to get ahead.

If my life and physical well being is in the balance, I want the best person, regardless of race, for my doctor.

  • I agree that when it comes to our physical well being, the best person should become a doctor. This is really scary and I was shocked to find this article. When it comes to people's lives, it has to be based on one's intelligence. I will read more of this health plan concerning other issues. The media doesn't cover what it should. I don't like to be in the dark about this. I bet I won't even receive many views. Americans really need to wake up!
