  • As has been said, the green one is wrong. Also, I know you're only demonstrating, but I hope those ropes aren't in use. They should have been whipped/fused after cutting.

    Also, no knot is any good at all if you don't know its uses and drawbacks. A double fisherman's is *not* easily pulled apart (as you demonstrate). In fact, it's difficulty in untying is one of its main drawbacks.

    A comparison with other common bends might be useful too.

  • Augie4 is right. The green rope shows just a single fishermans knot while the white one is a correct double fisherman knot.
