If this is actually the end to the Resistance series, it is very disappointing. So much left unexplained. Such a richly detailed story that's not being told. We only get glimpses of it in the extra journals and stuff we pick up. They need to make another one, if only for the purpose of explaining at least some of the other stuff. I'm not asking for every little detail, but something is better than nothing.
God the this chapter got me emotional. i mean "the promise" fighting the chimera, falling from the terraformer, i thought something bad was gonna happen, happy ending.
Resistance 4: Capelli, James Grayson, Rachel Parker, British/American/Marquis forces stop the Moscow tower from teleporting the entire Chimera to Earth ... Grayson gets infected by a Pure Chimera ... etc
this ending is epic u r holding onto a ledge with one hand while a beast tryies to get u and in the other hand u have a revolver shooting aliens then u fall to a rope and continue shooting aliens then u fall again and wen u land u have to shoot at a beast then u fall into a helicopter and the space station blows up the aliens and the helicopter takes u too ur family wat is not epic about that
@TeoTune Kinda hope for resistance 4. heres something to think about the plot on resistance 2 ending/resistance 3 plot problem. the wormhole is small hole in new york and resistance 2 ending took place around mexico somewhere and when you looked to the sky briefly you would seen that earth was somehow teleported? hopefully insonmiac will come up with something to explain about that part. maybe resistance 4 will take place in our current timeline with new caracter, i dont know just a thought.
If you collect the journals you get a much better picture of whats going on. The chimera put most of their forces into protecting the tower. In the journals it says over 100 stalkers and 100 goliaths surround the tower and with how much they have fallen humans can't beat the "new" goliaths. But the teraformer is barely guarded and much much easier to take over. And joe didn't even care anymore at the start. After he wanted to make the world better for his son. He isn't suppose to replace hale.
I think the game was made to be less intense than r2. In r3 the humans are barely anything anymore 90% of the world is chimera and so since they are now the lesser species the chimera just keep them under control but don't pay much attention. They are more concerned with the feral chimera than humans. When u reach new york and fight the waves of chimera and the stalkers it feels like r2 again but its short lived because its too hard for only joe and charlie to do
@MrKeepItGKyreh if you check this out I'm surprised nobodys said it after all these years but the bullseye looks exactly like one of the Halo ships halo 2 is where I spotted this.
I don't know why people is saying this ending is dissapointing. I expected something like this. The Chimera are dead, Capelli returns with his family and there's no cliffhanger at the last second. Maybe Resistace 4 is set in the first years of the Chimera invasion with another character.
@januscisioscarin the chimera aren't dead they just stopped the pure chimera from invading earth there are still millions or billions of chimera left on earth, think of it as they just pushed the chimera progress back to resistance 2. And they never went into finding who the alien race that got rid of the chimera millions of years ago were.
@AnalogHypeHD You didn't listen to the radio messages in the credits did you? Messages were coming in from all over the world via HAM radio that stated that the Chimera were retreating, so humanity was winning. There will probably be a Resistance 4 to eliminate the Chimera for good, but Capelli did get them on the right road to defeating the Chimera too.
@AnalogHypeHD Insomniac said they aren't making resistance 4 they are done with the series. But they say sony owns the series so they expect for sony to give it to another studio to make, like how they got a different studio to make the psp versions. I think they could have made a better game but this was more about joe and his life after killing hale in my opinion. I don't expect joe to be the main character if they make r4. Maybe charlie cause joe got back with his family and kept his promise.
@AnalogHypeHD the end of r2 was a glimp's (might be misspelled i know) into the fate of the earth if dedalse's (another misspell) plan was sucessful and the "pure" chimera was able to inhabit the planet, but thanks to the efforts of nathan hale, joe capelli and possibly james grayson, the chimera plan failed :P
@AnalogHypeHD oh and the grey tech was the shattered remains of the "parthemulas weapon" (now that is mispelled lol) with was created by the pure chimea before the age of man. deadalse was trying to recover these remains to rebuild the weapon but thanks to specter team he failed to do so.
Resistance series has one of my fav stories...but the story looks a bit a let down. Did you ever see the "true" chimera...what was in the sky at the end of R2. Did you ever figure out who invented the gray tech? Did you fight any cloven?

RESISTANCE 3 is useless for the development of the plot.......
The only thing we can see is the WARMHOLE (already seen in RESISTANCE 2 ending) and no one know what it is for sure!!!!
i'm pretty disappointed......
The game is ok,funny and more difficult than RESISTANCE 1 and 2 but as i told before the plot is very very poor...
I waited for a lot this game but now (INSOMNIAC WILL LEAVE THE RESISTANCE PROJECT AFTER THIS CHAPTER) i'm a little dubious about RESISTANCE 4..
